Does The Talent Match The Need?

I think there is alot of depth in this DE class. I think there are alot of Yetur Gross Matos caliber guys in this draft.

Im gonna be very interested to see what kind of shape Rousseau shows up in at combine. I think if he blows it away without playing since last, it says alot about his football character. He has production, but a very raw tool kit. You want to know you have coachability. Showing up to the combine in top shape is evidence of being committed to his craft

If Rousseau blows up the combine I can get on board...agree on coachability and what kind of kid he is.

I get it, and agree to an extent, but if I have an opportunity to add a 1st round talent to that group and get someone I feel good about at 10 I'm doing it and not trading down.

Farley scares me, Parsons/ non rush LB at 10 no thank you, Slater is intriguing but might be an OG and that doesn't bode well for me with a top 10 pick.

Don't say that, I really disliked Yetur last year.

Its gonna be an interesting watch.

He is an interesting fit for a scheme that wants to run multiple fronts. He has the power to line up on a 5 and 6 gap and generate pressure. Gregory has looked very comfortable rushing standing up, so you can get all three together on field. Rousseau should be effective rushing from a 3 gap in 4 man fronts on passing downs too

Im speaking more in terms value as opposed to a specific player. Gross-Matos is the type a DE that goes late first to the 2nd. Possible projection as a RDE, but with warts that could derail his development. Alot of those types this. I think you will see alot of pass rushers go in the 2nd to the early 3rd

Stack the picks, move them around, and go get a bunch of guys who can develop for now and the future.

This team doesn't have a ton of depth as we saw this year, and they are just getting older.
To me, they way this draft looks I think you build a stronger team securing a future pick in a trade down. This doesnt seem like an overly strong draft to me. Id try to get more value waiting on the better pick. But thats just me

If the medicals don't check out on Farley I'm fine not taking him, but I think he has special traits and is the only guy with legit CB1 potential in this class.

Slater is Brugler's OT2 and is one of the few dudes that actually didn't get embarrassed by Chase Young so he can play OT.

To each their own on the off ball LBr...I'd generally agree but I think Parsons is special and warrants the pick.

Yea he's like a better version of Ty Crawford. Pretty exciting potential.

This very well might be the case, although I think some gems might fall between the cracks because of the weird year but there might be a lot of bust as well.

When we were in the top 5 I was all about trading back to the 10ish range and adding a pick bc I thought that would put us right in the sweet spot.

If we're now going to be drafting in the 10-12ish range and your guy is there (Farley / Parsons / Surtain / OT) you take him. Even if we're picking later in the teens I'm hoping a top 10ish stud falls like Lamb did last year...even if it's offense.

I'm all about trading down if possible but it's such a limited top of the class I'm going to try my best to secure a top 10ish talent in the first if I can.
If we have the choice of surtain parsons or Farley I’m ecstatic. I’m partial to parsons but I really don’t see him getting past panthers or Broncos

Farley does intrigue me, and I agree he could be an absolute stud but the injuries scare me a bit.

Am I the only one who thinks Surtain will be a good NFL CB, but doesn't think he will be worth a top 20 pick?

Agree...not sure what percentage man vs zone we run but would be interested to know.
Seemed like a lot of man, but I think Farly and Diggs would be an amazing pairing if the medicals check out but still worries me moving forward.

If those guys are available great, but if not trade back and get some more picks.

I don't know if there's a huge drop off from the guys who will be available outside of the top 10 unless there's someone who slides like a Pitts who is a blue-chip player at a position that isn't a high-value position.
With that you hope someone wants to move up for a QB that gives you a bit of leverage in a trade.

I'd be fine with Horn, Kendricks, or Campbell over Farley or Surtain if we can add a day 2 pick or two.
I'd be fine with JOK, or Bolton over Parsons if we can add a day 2 pick or two.

This is going to be a deepish draft with a lot of hit and misses. I'd rather have more opportunities in a hit or miss draft such as this years. Yes I know every year is hit or miss, but this one is going to have even more question marks than ever before.
This team screwed up by winning meaningless games.

Ya...even if it's not Farley I'd like a CB that can run, even if it's someone a little smaller.

I like Diggs against physical / big body WRs...and he's got pretty good speed/quickness for someone his size but would love to get someone with more long speed to matchup with the McLaurin / RAegor / SLayton types in our division.

100% agree with you on this.
This will be a key for the position for me.
