Does this win feel like a LOSS or do I need a sports psychologist?

You should be happy that they did not fold up their tent and let the Chiefs win it in OT. That is a step up from what they have done in the past IMO.

They stopped the Chiefs twice in OT and the offense produced a win after that.

There is nothing wrong with looking at the problems this team has, with wanting them to get better...but at the same time it's ok to be happy when they win even if it is not in a manner that you feel deserves your appreciation.

Seriously, It won't kill you to be happy with a win. I will take an ugly win any day over a pretty loss.
:hammer:

Moral loss. We can take some positives from this game and build upon it. However, I hope the team is not content and works hard at fixing their mistakes (i.e. penalties).
Gee, I hope that moral loss doesn't keep us out of the playoffs.

It's so hard for me to show my teeth after a pitiful win like this today in OT. We struggled to beat a team that the Giants and Eagles had a easy day against which can mean one thing. I don't care what anyone says, a win over a 0-4 team in OT is a LOSS. I'm so disgusted right now I can PUKE.
the problem is that you (like me and many others) see/know the potential of this offense. A team that can start at their own 13, drive down to the opponents' 4 and score a TD... NOT settle for a FG instead.

THAT is frustration because you KNOW that if they can just execute a play or two, this game is nowhere near as close as it turned out.

Sorry, you're not crazy, just a fan.

If you feel that way you may want to slow down. We watch these games for fun. I would take the season off.

A win is a win and I am happy for it.

The issue most have is the Cowboys are WAY LATE in showing us what they are made of.

No free passes. No unearned praise.

Show us.

He didn't say "this game is nowhere near as close as it turned out" he said "a win over a 0-4 team in OT is a LOSS"
So yes, he is crazy. Dwelling on 'lost potential' rather than acknowledging a victory makes you crazy too. :laugh2:

Maybe you can petition the NFL to change the W to an L in the W/L column.

I smell a new billboard idea!

Maybe it is because every team is just a lucky bounce away from being 5 - 0.
I know we have been close every game.

I feel it just makes us look like a "FAKE 3-2" because it's obvious we are not playing that well just good enough to get by.

Kind like a student in school having all C's on their first report card. Well I will take the win but I'm still not pleased.
Good enough to get by is better than bad enough to have no chance. Whining over a WIN is silly. Coming from a fan since 88? Go back & watch the 89 season & then tell me how a WIN feels like a loss.

Your expectations for your team are to high, that's why. Sadly beating a crappy team in OT was huge for this bunch of under achievers with the #1 O in the league...

Crazy but true.;)

You have been given some strong advise in this thread. Take it in.

Seriously. We watch this game for fun. We talk about it for fun. I am watching the colts right now for fun. Dont let a game that you have zero control over bring you to the point where you want to puke. Thats a problem my friend. Sure we all dont like when our team loses. But you have to find a balance to how low a game (especially a win) can make you feel. You may be on a bad path.

One of the first posters told you. You may have an unhealthy obsession.

Dont lose the purpose of being a fan. Dont let the fun get taken away. Otherwise you may end up like one of those lonely fat *******s that sit at the sports bar watching their team alone while drinking themselves into a coma.
I'm just saying.;)

When the season is over the final record is all that matters, not HOW you got those wins., nobody says...

They went 11-5 but really I only consider them 10-5 b/c they barely beat the Cheifs who sucked.

Most teams with good records are due to playing and beating poor teams.
Minnesota for instance was LOSING to Cleveland and Detroit to start the season and had to come from behind to win in the second half. Does that add an asterisk to them? Or are we going to only be subjective to our team?
