Does Tony Practice this week?

We keep hearing whispers that the Browns game will be when he is on the field.

I can't imagine he just doesn't practice this week and then all of a sudden we trot him out against the Browns.

I would think Romo has to start practicing as soon as this week.

Say what you want about Spagnola but the guy has the best sources when it comes to Cowboys info so when he hints at something then you can bet he heard it from a great source.

The reason they are saying Romo will start once he is ready is because this team was built for him and you want to see what your multi million dollar investment can do on this team.

I haven't seen any word on when or if he's starting again. Just that the Brown's game is when he'd likely be ready if he were going to be starting again. I haven't read or heard anything beyond that.

Not being able to get in the Browns game would be a huge setback, IMO... not going to get any better preseason game than the winless Browns on their 7th or 8th QB.

I would think if the MRI checks out then Romo should be returning to the practice field. It will be interesting to see if he does work this week if he will be in uniform on the sidelines for this coming game.

I'm suspect of this story since the guy can't even get his facts straight on the week that we play the Eagles.

I agree. I would prefer staying with Dak but local media has been dropping a lot of obvious hints getting the fan base ready.

I would go back to Romo but this is the 1 time i'm glad I don't have to make the decision..

I couldn't pick. I think both guys bring something special to the offense and really I think depending on the matchup one could be better than the other.

Like... I don't want to see Romo against the Vikings defense.. I just don't want to see him against those blitz packages.

Dak is a tank and gets rid of the ball QUICK and he will make the Vikings play honest with all of the bootlegs he does. The bootleg play is such a HUGE part of our current offense and I think it is completely gone with Romo.


With that said...


I think if Zeke stays in superstar mode there is no way you can stop Dez Bryant with Romo and somehow stop Elliot as well.

I also wonder if Beasley disappears because Romo won't lock onto him until he gets open like Dak does.

Romo reads defenses so fast and sometimes I think it's a negative and he misses the small play.

Another thought on Dak vs Romo..


I don't think I've ever seen our offense look as dynamic as it does with Tony.

As good as Tony is.. I've never seen defenses get completely fooled like they have under Dak..

Since the Commanders game we have seen guys wide open. Misdirection plays, screen plays, timely play action, and just guys being in wide open space.


I want Romo back but I want the offense to continue to keep defenses on their heels and confuse them. I don't ever want to go back to the lineup and just win your 1 on 1 battle mentality over and over.


I don't want to depend on Romo's ability to buy time and make a play. I want the actual playcalls to do the job at times like it is right now.

I cant believe that everybody assumes everything is just gonna go as planned. I wouldn't be surprised if this injury kept Romo out all season.
