I cant believe that everybody assumes everything is just gonna go as planned. I wouldn't be surprised if this injury kept Romo out all season.

Doubt it.

I honestly believe that if we were 3-3 or 2-4 Romo would be back by now or he would've came back a week or 2 ago.

No need to rush when your Rookie QB is playing at an all pro level.

They are at the beginning stages of stretching out Romo's rehab. They will continue until Dak struggles or they lose a game at which time Romo will be declared ready to practice.

That's odd that they would do another MRI.

The day before his last MRI Jerry said that they expect his MRI to show that he is 100% healed and then the next day after the MRI Jerry said that the MRI went exactly as they expected.

I don't know why he would need another MRI after showing that the bone has healed.
It is all a smokescreen......first he should have gone on the IR/DTR....we all knew he wouldn't be back in 6 weeks........but JJones did say he was 100% healthy.......a bone that was barely cracked either heals or it doesn't.......this isn't healthy thing is a delay tactic.......they don't want to mess with a streak and that is the worst kind of coaching/FO

I don't think it is a smoke screen I think the reason Dallas did not put him on IR is because they were unsure of how Dak would do and if they had to get Romo back quickly they would be able to do so. The fact Dak has played this well has allowed more time.

I think they want to wait until DAK plays bad and I think that is a mistake.

Let DAK take this to the clubhouse and if Romo plays awful then bring back DAK.

Sounds like stalling...

Why is that bad? What are you suggesting they do?

It is leading by sticking your thumb up and seeing which way the wind is blowing

Really leading is making the tough decision and that is going back to Romo

He can do things Dak still can't do and that outweighs the runs Dak can make

JGarrett puts his stamp on the matter instead of hiding behind JJones and his fake medical advise

Two weeks ago JJones declared Romo was healed.....the bone didn't re-break...they are messing up this whole deal and it may divide the team......make a decision right now, one way or the other.....when you have 2 QBs you often have none

My comment was why Dallas did not put him on IR. If they were going to put him on IR they would have done so at the start of the season and the reason they didn't is because no one knew what Dak would be able to do, so leaving the door open for Romo was on the Cowboys minds. Seeing how Dak has played very well there is no need to rush Romo back and it is allowing him to have more time.

Lastly I don't see this team as being divided over this. I think fan base may be divided.... take that back the fan base is clearly divided but not this team

Yeah I get why they didn't IR him.......I am saying it was a big mistake but just another way they messed this whole thing up.......we aren't stupid......we know they would rush him back if they were 2-4 just like they did last year

Waiting for Dak to lose is not a good strategy......it puts the onus on him to be perfect and that changes the dynamic.....he is young and still learning.....he can take a few weeks off and watch Tony....if Tony really has lost it then we have a rested Dak to step right back in

Sorry I don't think Dallas messed up anything in this. I think fans have made issues of things that are not issues in large part because they don't like Jones or the coach or anyone within the organization. That is fine

It's funny that he said that.

I don't think they are messing it up unless their plan is to wait until Dak struggles. That is the mistake.

When Romo is in shape and ready then make the decision.

I'm with you though. If he had to play i'm sure he could play right now and they are just avoiding this decision for as long as possible.

I am saying don't make the decision all about Dak struggling.......that is unfair and too heavy a burden

Either say Dak is the QB from here on out or say it is still Romo's team for the rest of the year

Oh it is.. And IMO it's the right thing to do and say.

Just keep stalling and keep gathering information on Dak.
I agree 100%

Every player has to deliver or risk their job. It's production. Any other criteria except production would be unfair. Unfair to the team, coaches and fanbase.

"Too heavy a burden?" Sorry but all I can do is chuckle about that.

Dallas was still giving Romo the time he needed but this allowed them the opportunity to bring him back if the progress of the injury allowed. As for the future Cowboys have indicated that Romo will return to the lineup possibly by week 9. Of course this is what is told to the public. I'm sure Dak knows a lot more of the plan than what the Cowboys are putting out for public consumption.

Frankly the public does not need to know the only people who it affects is Dak and the team. Dak himself has said this is Romo team when he is ready.

As far as I'm concerned Romo will be back in the lineup when the team feels like he is ready.

If Tony is healthy then he is ready......both guys can lead this team but Romo is still better
