Pressure is always on the defense/defender, not the ball handler/offense.
If you identify a defensive super star or stud...take him.

You need as many studs as possible on the side of the ball that's at a disadvantage.
You can argue to stack the side of the ball that's got the advantage. Or, argue that the NFL isn't at College level disparity with 5disadvantaged every week, so defenses aren't that disadvantaged.
