My point is that you gain more loyalty wise from dogs but you are also more at risk from dogs as well. A cat will rarely protect you, but dogs will and it is hard to imagine a burglar telling his buddy, "Let's try a different house, that house has a cat."

Dogs have been framed for years by cats doing this kind of thing.

The dog came from a loving home obviously while the child did not. There was a search party of a dog and not one for the baby. Pretty messed up.

And stop with the dogs and cats thing. Both animals will drive people crazy, but still make good pets. It is the snake people that are in trouble. No pet snake is going to protect a child.

I've had Cats or Dogs my whole life and they are both great in their own ways.
