Former Parcells assistants Haley and Sparano both fired today. I'm sure it's somehow Jerry's fault.

I mean a veteran coach that would know how to handle a team like this. Garrett is so insecure and is not HC material. He's okay, but he's too inexperienced.

If you don't want to keep Garrett, then who the hell DO you want as HC?

I'm not giving up on Garrett like some of you. He's having a rough first year. Talk to me if he is doing the same after year 3. But year 1? If Cowher or Fisher comes to Dallas and they find themselves at 7-6, would you want to push them out as well?

The difference is Fisher and Cowher have a track record of building up teams. Garrett is a complete gamble. I don't care if it's Fisher or Cowher, I just want a coach with a decent track record. Jason Garrett is a complete gamble but so far he's done a horrible job this season. So many 4th quarter meltdowns isn't always the players, coaching has a lot to do with it too. The Cowboys have more 4th quarter meltdowns this year than their history combined.

Garrett is inexperienced and has directly cost us at least 2 games this season...and probably 3. Eliminate those coaching errors with a weathered and respected coach, and there's no way this team would be 7-6. Garrett has done nothing particularly impressive to merit retaining his job. His defenders are all saying to give him time, as though he has shown any more promise than any other coach would have shown. The offense is mediocre and the team continues to collapse.

Jason Garrett is not getting fired after his first full season as Cowboys HC, nor should he. Firing coaches every year is stupid beyond belief.

That's the kind of thing Al Davis would have done with the Raiders.

So we just don't give Garrett a chance to build up his team after one year? This upcoming offseason will be his first full offseason sans lockout in his head coaching career. Yes it is a gamble. Welcome to the NFL. This league is full of gambles that have worked out. I just do not care for retreads. They rarely work.

Not a good day for our former assistant coaches. In fact all three coaches fired in the middle of this season have Cowboys ties as Del Rio played here.

Jerry needs to get
Sprano as running game and OL coach
Norv as OC
and Jerome Henderson as secondary coach

And another, Norv has been rumored to be gone after the season.

So, you don't think going through those games has weathered Garrett and will be helpful in future years?

Jimmy Johnson would have been fired by the fans after one season had this message board been around back then. Same with Tom Landry.

I would rather wait for Andy to fire Castillo as DC in Philly and bring him home to be the OL coach.

Sparano isn't coming here unless were going to pay him 2.5 million over the next 2 seasons. That's what he's going to be making over the next 2 years. He's going on a loong vacation!!

Either am I. I'll take the good and the bad. I think he will be a good coach.
