Like 5Stars said... This guy was just a favor to Old Man Garrett. If you didn't believe it when Wade said he wasn't a football player, well, it looks like Coughlin and now Parcells/Sparano agree.

I'll take a guy like Manny Johnson, who produced in a major conference and played with a dislocated elbow, on my practice squad instead.

I'm not a Lowber fan but I'm a fan of elite speed. Which is exactly the reason he's been from pillar to post from basically out of nowhere. I'd say it would take him 3-4 years to develop from college and he's not getting all that exposure being on the PS.

Somewhere down the line, perhaps now, you have to say he's not going to be a football player despite the insane speed and remarkable athleticism he has. Having said that I wouldn't be surprised if he got another chance somewhere.

He's not any faster than Alexander Wright although he does seem to adjust on the ball pretty well and has decent hands.

I hope he does because from seeing him on Hard Knocks, the guy really wants to play in the NFL..he has the kind of attitude that you root for...well, at least I do.

I agree. And he does have the kind of speed that you try to sit on for awhile. I'd be happy to have him on the PS this year. Talk about a field stretcher.

Something about him today is that he was cut from the Cowboys, went to the Phins and got cut....but you never know how much experience he learned from all that?

If JJ brought him back in...that would be sweet!

I didnt intend that as a personal assault, but that yes, obviously Im not a scout, or for that matter on the coaching staff, but as a general viewer it was my observation, that is all.

I will fight you to the death if you continue down this path.

If only it was Danny Amendola. I am convinced 2008 blew chunks because we let him go.

I wouldn't mind if they brought him in as a body to compete. I liked the kid enough but I doubt he'll ever make it because he's just so far behind most players in terms of football knowledge. He went to such a small school that they didn't even have football there so he never really played before trying to make an NFL team.

Uhh. No. There isn't. Name ten players in the entire NFL with his speed and athleticism.

Just a question, and not meant at all to be disagreeable, but did any of us really know anything about him until Hard Knocks?

I will admit that I really didnt.

Point being, if a camera crew focuses totally on every positive achievement of a low end player, how much does it elevate his overall appeal?

Not calling you stupid, just what was said in that episode.

How do you call a player not a football player if he was doing everything right in camp?

Was it the angle of the camera?, HBOs perpective?, exactly what did this kid do to be labled a "non football player"?

From my perspective as a casual viewer of the Hard knocks episode it appeared as though he was doing everything right....

Never got that.

He's the the new millenium version of Alexander Wright.

Good point. But I'm basing my observations on watching the kid run and move. You can't teach it and you hardly ever see that kind of speed even in the NFL.

Same point I made earlier. Lot's of track guys have tried to make it in the NFL and failed. He's not a track guy but he's not that far off that mark. And Wright could be a perfect example.

Still the only reason he has gotten this far with his background is his extreme speed. And he's very fluid as well as he can adjust to the ball and catch it. That's a problem for many speed guys and what killed Wright's career.

I really don't want to give this guy a lot of camera time. He's a tease but ohh what a tease.

Isaiah Stanback.
