Why are we throwing bombs to Gallup when we have 2 guys way faster then him?
He was panic and throw the ball to whoever was close. Even if the ball was caught, the receivers would get a solid rib/waist shot and not get any YAC.

Well if they're not good enough to beat good teams in the regular season then they won't beat them in the playoffs anyway. Lots of soul searching to do for this team. They either rise up to adversity or spiral.
I can see them missing the post season, offense literally sucks, defense can only dominate weak teams (except for AZ) thus far.

I do not see this changing!

Let’s be honest. We got banged up too. Season might be over.
The playoffs are definitely not a sure thing. With the brutal schedule we have coming up we’re going to struggle to win 10 games. Doesn’t matter if we make the playoffs anyway we’re not getting past San Francisco or Philly.

Seven NFC teams “make” the playoffs. What seven make it ahead of the Dallas Cowboys?
Current division leaders...............Eagles, Bucs, Lions, 49ers.

That is 4 playoff teams right there, so only 3 spots left..............There are currently 5 teams in the NFC with 2 or fewer losses, here they are.

Seattle.........3-1
Falcons........3-2
Saints..........3-2
Packers.......2-2
Cowboys.....3-2

Two on this list will not make it since only 3 wildcards available, it is not a very big leap in logic to see that the Cowboy could very well be one of the two teams left out.

Wildcard was IMO always our ticket to the playoffs with Egirls on top of division.

With 7 playoff spots looking around the NFC I dont see 7 better teams.
I think it's possible we'll be a wild card team or miss the playoffs

Division winners (unless you think we're beating the Eagles for division)
49ers
Eagles
Bucs currently
Lions

That only leaves 3 spots
Seahawks are currently 3-1, we're 3-2, Saints 3-2, Falcons 3-2, Rams 2-3, Commanders 2-3. Packers 2-2. Are we clearly better than all those teams minus 2? I would think so but who knows.

Considering we still have to play Philly twice, Buffalo, Seahawks, Dolphins, Lions, and Rams..................yeah, playoffs might be looking iffy this year.

Looking at this, I think we make it. NFC is not very strong. I know people look at tonight and give up and for good reason. It's hard to get excited for the rest of the season but it is just one game. This team can either bounce back from this or tuck their heads between their tails and stumble along the rest of the year. There is no in between. Teams have bounced back from beatings like this to get to the Super Bowl, win the Super Bowl. I hate talking like that because right now we are so far away from it but you have keep going. Season didn't end tonight. Super Bowls these days are won on luck more than anything. The old saying is you make your own luck and the Cowboys still have time to do that.

We’ll see how it shakes out. Anything is possible. But at this point I’d put us up against any of those remaining non divisional winners.

I had us at 10-7 before the season and still feel that until further evidence. Will that be enough. We shall see.

If we squeeze out the 7 seed we get to go to either Philly or SF (whoever is #2 seed) and get stomped for WC weekend. Is that a victory?

Next 3 games pretty much will tell our season.

at Chargers
Rams
at Philly

We have to win at least 2 of those three games if we are a playoff team.

We're going to have to play one or both of those teams anyway. You can't really avoid it. If we get stomped no one will be surprised anyway so great we get stomped. Big shock.

You’d think so. I had us at 4-2 at the Bye. 5-3 at halfway places us in position to win 10 or 11 games.

But second half of season we still have Wash twice, NY and Car which is 4 winnable games. Phi, Det, Mia and Buff all loseable and Sea a toss up.

So I could see 5-6 wins maybe if we did fall to 4-4.

Im not sure why this loss which was an expected loss really changes our outlook or prospects for the season?

No, that will be fodder for the delusional thinking we have a good nucleus and QB. We need to rebuild, especially on offense.

I feel making the playoffs would be a disaster since that would mean Jerry would extend Dak. That can't happen. How do you cut a QB that made the playoffs? Best things for us is we don't make the playoffs and Jerry makes a good decision on Dak and lets him go after June 1st.

You may as well forget the dream that Jerry is going to do anything but extend Dak. No trade clause and he'd make 60 million next season when we have to pay Micah (could make 35 mil+) and CeeDee (could make 30 mil). The Jones' love moving money into the future so they can pay players that's what they do.

Question why they gave him a no trade clause and got us into a situation where he has to either get extended or get 60 million next season when he didn't earn any of that.

Making the playoffs is never a disaster and Jerry is not going to extend Dak unless he leads us to NFCCG or beyond. This is so silly to say making the playoffs is a disaster. That is never a disaster.

As I just explained, they're going to extend Dak 100% no matter how bad he plays. They're not giving him 60 million dollars of cap space next season and that's the only way out.
