i think JJ will take pouncey over nate allen,it makes too much sense and hard to ignore the lack of depth on the o-line.we can always get allen or burnett with a trade up in the 2nd rd.

I wouldnt. If our scouts like him enough to take him there, its because they (and the coaches) feel he's an upgrade and a sure starter at FS.

Yeah, taking Nate Allen at #27 would be very telling of what the FS position will look like come September.

Why you'd skip over the offensive line to take a safety is beyond me, it would probably be more telling of what they didn't like about Pouncey than anything else if they took Allen over him.

Or it could be the coaching staff says FS is a critical need, and if two guys have a similar grade, you take the area of more critical need.

I get that you have a bromance with Allen, you don't have to reply to every post I make where I state my belief that he's not a first round talent.

I'm already said on several occasions that I like Allen, I just don't think he's a first round type of player.

The Cowboys drafting him won't change my opinion on that.

I'm not saying he won't be a good player and I'm not saying he's not talented, I'm saying I don't think he's a first round talent. There's a difference.

I didn't think Carl Nicks was a first round talent and I still wanted us to draft him. Just not in the first round.
