Donald Driver?

I think Garrett needs to keep building the team from within plus we already have enough competition for #3-4 WR.

This.

I think he could help teach Dez a TON about being a consummate professional WR in the NFL.

This^.

Driver could be in rotation for 3rd WR with Coale and mentor the WR corps.

I think it would be a great signing to be honest. Driver is old, but he still gets open.

I've wanted him on the team since February. We have a lot of young WRs that could use a proven veteran WITH championship experience to help show them the ropes and like mentioned, show them how to be a professional and have a long career in the NFL like he has.

One of the most durable WRs to play in the last 10 years, good route runner, I think he would be a very positive pickup and someone Garrett would like. Give him a 1-year deal, I don't think he'd be a progress stopper at all when he can still give you 400-500 yards and 5 TDs as the #3 WR.

If we were really interested, I think we'd be able to get him easily because of his local ties and Jimmy Robinson.

If there's a need for him when the regular season rolls around... which would only be due to the injury bug at that position... then sure, otherwise I doubt seriously he would be available. Some team will have a stronger need for his services than the Cowboys.

continue the youth movement. Our 3rd wr should be be trying to become our 2nd wr.

I'd rather have Mike Irvin coach the wr's we have up.

Don't see him coming here. Maybe to Miami depending on how their cast of receivers do in TC.

*Philbin-Driver connection in Green Bay.

There's always the possibility, but I don't think Coale will be what some people expect him to be this year. Don't think Driver should be brought in either. I agree with sticking with what we have going in to training camp.

You mad? When did I say our team sucks? And how exactly is Donald Driver garbage?

dont you get bored thinking every player out there *not saying you do it for every player* is better than what we have? It gets annoying seeing such and such is free lets bring him in" no lets not and lets build on something that most dont see happening before their eyes. So far ive liked what Garret has done, and for me getting rid of some coaches has been great. Give him some time and lets see what he does.

Yeah that's why my first sentence was a disclaimer as well saying I don't like these kinds of threads in general haha. I see what you mean though. No harm. And we will see one way or another come preseason how that 3rd, 4th, 5th receiver unfold.

true words, and thats what it is just seeing what develops. I agree you need to turn over all the rocks, but some players are just progress stoppers and at this time i think driver is one of those. I get the whole vet thing and im not always sold on the youth movement, but we need he numbe 1 and dez is playing like that because he commands double coverage, but if austin is more consistent this year than our third wont matter on the big scale but can do good things if we have the right player in there.
