No heart player. His effort tonight was disastrous. He should be ashamed of himself, and all of his supporters on here that can't see he doesn't sell out to win is fooling themselves.

He kept drives alive with huge cushion. I hope it's injury related because, if it's not, he's Keith-Brooking-done.

We need P.Peterson BAd on this team. I hope we lose the rest of the way.

Newman getting the money as a closer and he not even close to that, and never been one since he join the league!!!! and average corner could do the same thing that Newman doing with less money

How can you say he plays with no heart when he made one of the best open field tackles out there? It's not his fault guys are out of position and can't stop an average running back when they know what the play is.

Newman hasn't been the same since 06-07. It's time to move on...he's barely even serviceable these days. There aren't many CBs older than 32 that still start. Ronde Barber and Charles Woodson are the only ones that come to mind right now but they're both in a different league than Newman. Plus, Barber is as durable as they come. Newman is injury-prone and declining.

That is scheme/playcalling, not on Newman.

We need so much work on defense it's not even funny.

Our secondary needs serious work, but we just let McCoy go for over 150 on like 17 carries. We need Dom Capers in here next year.

Hate to say it but he needs to go next year too....The new coach must clean house of losers

From recent discussions on Newman some here still don't see him as part of the problem in the secondary we'll see if any of his supporters have changed their opinion any.

I'd cut Jenkins tomorrow before him.

I wouldn't cut Jenkins, but I'd absolutely consider trading him.. Cutting him would be like cutting your nose to spite your face because somebody would pick him up in a heartbeat and you'd lose out on a good pick.

Granted, just saying I would rather have Newman than Jenkins now.

Yeah Newman is getting burned one or two plays a game. Jenkins is getting worked on a weekly basis and still is a terrible tackler.

Newman got beat once today and you're done with him? Great. Find me a corner who doesn't get beat atleast once a game and don't even bring up Revis because he's no longer that corner.

The team isn't nearly as talented as we've all been led to believe. You probably should have figured that out a couple of loses ago.

D Ware was worse and the entire front 7 was worse

You kidding me?

Did you watch the game?

Granted, we flopped up front down the stretch, but overall the front 7 played alright. Better than the secondary.

Way better than the secondary. They played very well--the best unit on the field.

Calling the edge blitz toward the end came back to get us.. because they ran a trap to the left.
