Uhhhhh, yes - it does.Size has nothing to do with running the football on us though.
Actually, they’ll be everywhereGreat pick but dont look for him a Micah to play tandem DEs, they are too light
It will be him and Micah on one side and Kneeland/Williams on the other
It’s only a great pick if this guy gets on the field. The only way to have them both on the field for a good part of the game is to change to a 3-4 which shoulda been done years ago with Micah. This team is always 5 steps behind and after we crap the bed this season I can guarantee you there will be a DC to come in with a 3-4 system.Cowboys stole him last night. GREAT pick at 44. Pairing him up with Parsons will be deadly. I absolutely loved this pick. The "he has all the tricks in his bag to win against good players" I keep hearing is exciting. He needs to get bigger and stronger but he will. The Cowboys got a good one!
Everyone on our front 7 is 6ft 2in and nobodies over 280lbs so we will get run all over again this season too.Uhhhhh, yes - it does.
This is good........what's his 40 time? BTW........it's no secret I'm not the best speller on the board but darn, spelling his last name is hard
Yeah, that's the problem. He and Micah share a position. We're already weak vs the run, add in another DE who is weak vs the run and ick.Great pick but dont look for him a Micah to play tandem DEs, they are too light

It makes us better because teams cant relax when Micah goes out but this only works with interior pressureYeah, that's the problem. He and Micah share a position. We're already weak vs the run, add in another DE who is weak vs the run and ick.
Yes, excellent value. However, we took yet another 2nd rounder at a position of strength. Don't see how this makes us better. Unless we're switching to a 3-4.
Normal rookie growth and developmental growth. Both in size and strength programs. He is a solid run defender.
Yes he is on the smaller side with weight and height.
But he has long arms for his size.
So being shorter, he can use his long arms to get his hands under the OL’s pads and maintain leverage. Preventing the OL from getting into his body and allowing him to hold the edge and then shed for the tackle. It requires good technique but this guy has good technique. So I think he will be fine.
I wouldn’t want him out there all the time defending the point of attack against large tackles. But he shouldn’t be a liability either.
THey still hoping Mazi will improve , Mazi has marginally improved but nowhere near the pickhe was, if he figuresout how to anchor and run stop ,it would be a great improvement.I think that lineup is strictly for passing downs though. Fowler is also a pass rush so I’m interested in seeing how they how they handle this. Depth at DE….not so much at interior.
I think the plan with Williams is this is his Last Chance U.Sam Williams ran a 4.46 40, a 1.6 10 yard split and had a 10'3" broad jump. He didn't do the cone and shuttle drills, but at his pro day he had a 36" vertical. Sam Williams is 6'4" and 261 lbs. I am not saying Ezeiruaku is not a good player, but I would argue he is similar to Sam Williams who is already on the team, only Williams is bigger.
I wonder if the plan is to get rid of Williams, who has been known to make mental mistakes, bad mental mistakes. Maybe they trade him for a receiver or RB?
This is good........what's his 40 time? BTW........it's no secret I'm not the best speller on the board but darn, spelling his last name is hard
Tank Lawrence was 6-3 250 when he was drafted.I thought one of Ezeiruaku's strength was his run defense? He may be small, but he is instinctive and that might make up for the lack of size. Lawrence was bigger, but he managed to get himself out of position a lot which led to success on those outside runs. If Ezeiruaku can avoid that he might be stronger against the run than Lawrence.
I think it will be Parsons and Ezeiruaku when we go nickel with Fowler rotating with them. I think it will be Kneeland and Turner on first down. No reason to wear down either of our undersized DEs on first down. I am curious whether Parsons will play linebacker some on those downs, though. Hard to keep him off the field.Great pick but dont look for him a Micah to play tandem DEs, they are too light

Tell Jay Toia that.... That guy is like a mac truck, a beastThis D is geared up to play vs pass first offense.
Can Mazi improve from being in the bottom 1/4 last year to being average in '25? That alone would make a huge difference. I mean there was a period early in the year when he was among the worst in the entire league. He and that bum Jordan Phillips.THey still hoping Mazi will improve , Mazi has marginally improved but nowhere near the pickhe was, if he figuresout how to anchor and run stop ,it would be a great improvement.
They can both play on passing downs and 3rd and longGreat pick but dont look for him a Micah to play tandem DEs, they are too light
