Donovan Ezeiruaku has been disappointing

The one positive is Malachi Lawrence looks better right now. Is bigger and stronger than EZ and has been beating tackles more and more recently. Had one sack last night and probably could have had another, at least he drew a holding penalty on that play.

I have a lot of issues with this team…I can’t find it in me to make Eze one after one season and 4 games. Sorry.
Brother I agree. The whole team isn't living up to their potential. That's on the head coach. 10 days off so this is Jerry's chance to make a switch there. Rex Ryan is only 63. Bring him in to be the bus driving HC and he also mentor CP. Rex ran a 3-4 hybrid that gave Brady fits. And make Clayton Adams the OC.

I've heard of Todd Bowles but I had no idea that it was his defense that completely shut down the 14-2 Chiefs with Mahomes and Andy Ried in that SB. Mahomes had a passer rating of 52. No TD's and two INT's. He has 46 TD's in 21 playoff games, but none in that one. So if Todd can shut down Mahomes and Ried, it's not surprising that for 3 quarters Dak and Shotty were shut down. That's my ONLY positive from last night's embarrassing loss. And that's really not even a positive thing. Lol Ugh

Don't understand how he went from unblockable in last year's training camp to this trash he is currently putting on the field. He was a 2nd round pick so I guess expecting him to be our war daddy is a little much. Hopefully he finds a role in the defense eventually and doesn't end up as a wasted pick.
You said it. Training camp.

You said it. Training camp.
Yeah I get that. I just thought that was signs of what his development might bring. However for Lawrence it was the exact opposite. He wasn't very good in training camp and you can see him improving in the games. Just hard to get a feel on these players.

I agree. The man has warning track power. He gets sooo close, but can't close the sack or bring down the runner. He's got pretty good technique, but he's a smaller guy to start but he also has zero football instincts for finishing a play. In college he had like 17 sacks in a season, but it was a smaller school/conference and this is the NFL.
Lawrence ALREADY seems to have better finishing moves and burst. Kid just needs more reps - and EZE needs to be shipped off somewhere else for whatever they can get for him.

Trevon was a All Pro, D Law was solid, Chidobwas solid..Connor Williams too. Bruce and Sean Lee too.
Lol Trevon was a one year wonder, he's only 28 and currently on a practice squad. Chidobe is on his 4th team. Carter got cut by 4 different teams and was out of the league by age 30. Connor retired by 27. Lee and Dlaw were the only decent picks.

Tyrus Wheat was playing on the end last night towards the end of the game. I wonder if that is a sign of things to come.

They were good players is my point. What's you4 standard for a second rounder?

The jet sweep TD for Egbuka was the perfect example of low-IQ football. Eze literally watched Egbuka run right past him WITH THE BALL IN HIS HANDS and STILL continued looking into the backfield…
This team as a whole has done this all year on defense and it’s baffling. Like the ball goes one way and they have absolutely no clue

I mentioned last night, but I know it's early, but he's been pretty disappointing so far. Not like he doesn't have a chance to standout as most of our DL/LB are mostly jags.

Side note, but has any team had worse luck with 2nd round picks than Dallas? Going back to 2010 these were our picks

2010 Sean Lee
2011 Bruce Carter
2012 No pick
2013 Gavin Escobar
2014 DeMarcus Lawrence
2015 Randy Gregory
2016 Jaylon Smith
2017 Chidobe Awuzie
2018 Connor Williams
2019 Trysten Hill
2020 Trevon Diggs
2021 Kelvin Joseph
2022 Sam Williams
2023 Luke Schoonmaker
2024 Marshawn Kneeland
2025 Donovan Ezeiruaku

Lawrence is the only decent one
Lee would have been a first ballot HoF player if he could have stayed healthy.

I have one more positive thing- Ryan Flournoy had 90 yards on three catches. Might need him if Lamb misses a game or two.

No updates on Lamb yet but the bits and pieces of info out there makes it sound like a quad contusion. Hopefully no tears or anything.

I think he'll back he has time to rest

I'll have to rewatch that play now. But that sounds like Micah. If he wants to act like Micah he can get shipped off like Micah. Because he is not nearly getting the pressure Parsons used to get.

Yeah, he got the sack after the QB pulled the ball and moved off his spot cuz EZ was running straight at him. That sack could have gone to a few guys.
