I thought about Freeny too. Freeny was 6′ 1″, 269 lbs. Mathis was 6′ 2″, 245 lbs. Ezeiruaku is 6′ 2″, 247 lbs.Lots of comps but I’ve said since the draft he plays like Dwight Freeny with those spin moves.
Hell probably grow more into the high 250s during his NFL career.I thought about Freeny too. Freeny was 6′ 1″, 269 lbs. Mathis was 6′ 2″, 245 lbs. Ezeiruaku is 6′ 2″, 247 lbs.
The good thing is we know it can work with smaller DE’s. Eberflus and Dungy almost run identical schemes.I thought about Freeny too. Freeny was 6′ 1″, 269 lbs. Mathis was 6′ 2″, 245 lbs. Ezeiruaku is 6′ 2″, 247 lbs.
Joey Porter/Pat Swilling!Donovan Ezeiruaku reminds me of former Colts DE Robert Mathis. Robert Mathis was a 5x Pro Bowler. They have similar size and style of play. I'm really excited about Ezeiruaku. He's capable of getting 10 sacks as a rookie.
*rubs eyes* Am I seeing a positive thread here on CZ? Wow. I'm shocked.Donovan Ezeiruaku reminds me of former Colts DE Robert Mathis. Robert Mathis was a 5x Pro Bowler. They have similar size and style of play. I'm really excited about Ezeiruaku. He's capable of getting 10 sacks as a rookie.
I'm hoping Ez can make Micah even better. He hasn't really had anyone who can draw attention away from him and is the focus of offensive blocking schemes. If he can get consistent pressure, then it becomes harder to double Micah and leave Ez single-blocked.Good then we can get Micah out of here way out of here (jk)
that was what angered me about the boys the last five years DeWare was with us. There was no one to take the pressure off of him. The opposing OC knew he had only one pass rusher to worry about.I'm hoping Ez can make Micah even better. He hasn't really had anyone who can draw attention away from him and is the focus of offensive blocking schemes. If he can get consistent pressure, then it becomes harder to double Micah and leave Ez single-blocked.
Micah has helped players like Armstrong and Odighizuwa succeed more than they would on their own. They get to mop up because of the chaos he creates. If Ez can create a little chaos of his own, it should benefit Parsons, just as Ez should benefit from Parsons.
