Donovan Wilson’s not Darren Woodson, but he’s closer to anything the Cowboys have had since

Wilson seems like he's on the verge of turning into a playmaker. Something just needs to click into place.

Roy Williams hurt TO with the horse collar before it was even a thing. That was the same year TO came back for the SB miraculously and had a great game.

He also hurt Emmitt playing for Zona when he met him in the hole and broke his shoulder.

I’ve always said he was the best college defensive player I had ever seen in college, but than I watched the Cotten Bowl two years ago when Penn State was playing and saw another. Parsons.

How soon we forget that Roy Williams was near elite for about his first 4-5 years. There was even one year when he was arguably the league’s Defensive MVP, but Bob Sanders of the Colts was given the award instead.

I hope Donovan Wilson reaches that level. Until then, let’s not act like Wilson is the best we’ve had since Woody.

Agreed. He’d be in the HOF if he could have kept it going as long as Atwater and the other hard-hitting safety legends.

Greg Cosell of NFL Films says Donovan Wilson pops off the screen.

As for Roy Williams, oh what could have been. He was a hellacious hitter. I remember his rookie year on kickoff coverage he hit a 49ers so hard, I thought the man had died. He ran into Roy like he had smacked into a steel-plated wall.

2:33 mark on the video.

Roy lost a step and began horsetackling. Bending a players spine backwards (spine doesn't bend bacwards) with your full body weight and then falling on his legs. He injured a lot of players before it was outlawed but one of the best rules the NFL has enforced. He was lost after Woodson retired because he wasn't even fast as a small linebacker.

If you have ever been horsecollared you understand.
