That is exactly the opposite of how he played...Wilson is going to have some issues coverage but I know he will at least tackle.
Thompson is bad. Wilson proved he’s the better player leading the team in tackles when he replaced him. He wasn’t perfect but he wasn’t awful either.
Let’s hope they feel the same way.

That's ONE GAME. He took a few poor angles but he also made some good tackles. He's a tackler. That is exactly the opposite of how he played...
What do Thompson has been sucking all year mean? He's a backup safety in this league who should be getting limited reps. What do Thompson only played 4 snaps on defense vs the Browns mean...
He slightly underwhelmed me due to the hype on this board for preseason play previous seasons but DT shouldn't be on the field.
I'm with you. Tackling technique can get better with reps. That's ONE GAME. He took a few poor angles but he also made some good tackles. He's a tackler.
But I'm sure you will somehow tell me he's a good cover safety and can't tackle....please proceed.
Thompson is a career STs player. It is concerning the coaches didn't know that.

I agree. I can justify him playing and getting burnt. I can't Darian Thompson. You don't know what a guy has until he plays. It happened with Dak.....happening with Schultz now.........just play them and see.I'm with you. Tackling technique can get better with reps.
If he is going to have coverage issues, speed isn't going to be able to be learned.
Based on the eye test, he seems to be a guy that plays faster than he times in straight speed.
It wouldn't surprise me if he seizes this opportunity, and it wouldnt at all shock me if he plays like the 6th rounder he was.
Either way the team needs to find out.
