I say you're dead wrong. What we need is a new fresh aproach. This current mindset is mediocre at best.

Still waitng on BP to make up his mind. Also still waiting on that first playoff win under the "great" Parcells. I wish BP would just hit the road. We all know he's coming back, though. Sigh.

The problem with college coaches is can they assemble pro staffs???

Jimmy came in and this team sucked until we hired a pro offensive staff.
That's why Troy gives so much credit to Norv now.

Saban was supposed to the greatest coach ever... Miami was mediocre during his tenure.

Spurrier got his QBs killed with his crazy, forget to block, scheme.
If you want a college head coach get one like Weis who has a long history of NFL involvement and can assemble an NFL staff.

Stoops come in with his OU staff? No thank you.

Petrino nabbed Zimmer to run his defense. That was a great move. A college coach can have great success with some NFL know how behind him.

Except for Norv, as I recall just about all of Jimmy's assistants came from Univ. of Miami with him. Who else are you talking about? Saban was only with the Dolphins 2 years, the place was a mess when he got there.

That still doesn't mean hiring a college coach nessecarily. Especially one who has no NFL level experience.
