We have an extra 4th so yes I definitely see it happening. I'm more of a Wentz fan and have had long debates with others when Wentz vs Lynch was a thing but if we need a backup with potential and still get to keep our top pick then Yes sign me up.

It would be a bad consolation prize, but get what you're saying.

Instead of urinating away draft picks. Can the Cowboys FOR ONCE trade down instead and take Lynch (if that is who they like) while picking up a couple of picks so you can build the defense? You can than trade up later so that you can scratch Jerry's itch.

If the Cowboys do really believe Romo has some time left you OWE it to him to build a defense that doesn't force him to be Superman each week.
You say it like it never happens. Didn't they trade down and land Fredrick?

I'd rather trade back and find a way to get two mid-1st round picks (spending one on Lynch and another on a defensive player) than wasting the 4th overall on a marginal defensive player.

Last two drafts they traded up for Swaim, Street, Lawrence
Your comment implies that they never trade down which is incorrect and isn't even distant history. Your rant falls apart there.

No, I understand that a good dciut can spot talent that others miss. There should be more late round players drafted that develop than what they currently have. From your comments, why bother with those picks? Very few make it anyway ,

You need volume to succeed with late round picks and UDFA.

People say we can't spot talent. Yet we've hit on numerous UDFA. Should the same process be at work there?
