forcing picks is how we ended up with shante carver. We are just fine with McFadden, randle and Williams. If we don't draft a single back, i would be perfectly happy. Outside Gurley and maybe Gordon none of these guys are major upgrades over what we already have

I would agree but then I don't want us to force any position. RB is needed, even the Cowboys know this which is why they are bringing in all these RB. Does not mean Dallas should force it or reach for a RB no more than a DT, DE, S or any other position.

As for the Cowboys being fine? I think right now we are looking at 2 guys who thus far have been bust and 2 guys who are JAGS good to fill in here or there but not to take on the overall role that has been left with the departure of Murray. Run game it way to vital to this team to put it all in the hands of guys who have done little to nothing

Gurley or Gordon will both be BPA at 27.
I have no problem selecting either.
But if Gurley is on the board I might accidentally trip and embarrass myself running to give the selection card to the commissioner.

Lets say another team was in love with Gurley at 27 and he was there and the compensation was right. Given the talent in this draft would you entertain a trade down and pass Gurley to another team?

I think it would really have to be dependent on what the team was offering and how the Cowboys have him rated. If they have Gurley rated as a top 10 talent in this draft then they would need something significant to move down. Say a 2 and a 1 next year. I don't think we trade out of someone we think is a significant BPA for something small.
