but I am not sure my heart and blood pressure can handle another season of close nail biters.

Yesterday, I was choked when the Giants scored early. My wife, being her normal sarcastic self said, aren't they supposed to cover the Giants guys as Burress ran for the TD. I said the Giants did the same thing last year scoring early on us. She said, guess the Cowboys should have learned.

Anyway, my son was having a major melt down all game which somewhat ruined the experience but at least when we went ahead 17-6, I thought ok at least the game has calmed down. Then of course we let them back in at 17-16. Then we went ahead by 16 and I thought ok we have this one only to let them back in again.

Just before the Hurd TD, I said, ok we are going to choke but whew we saved the day.

Ever since 2005, we have had nothing but close games it seems. I know we have been blown out and blown others out but too often my heart ends up racing as I pace the living room.

I think I would have gone postal last night had we choked given I had 2 hours of a screaming son who despite everything Mrs.CCF and I did, he wouldn't calm down.

Still, a win is a win so I'm happy.

I do think I will order that online defibrillator though just in case.

So... I am watching the game with my father... he is really not a BIG football fan... a little more than a casual football fan... he knows I am Cowboy Fan... so he will root along with me... My father, a man of few words.. after the quick hit TD by the Giants simply says...

"hmm... well that was easy" in a calm, yet concerned sorta way

Damn teenagers! He's going to turn out like his dad...

:laugh2:

Are you kidding? I loved it! It was an exciting game with lots of big plays and drama. The Giants showed a lot of heart in coming back repeatedly but we showed just as much plus more talent in coming back and maintaining the lead, finally putting them away with a couple of huge plays.

It reminded me a lot of the 70s when we were simply better than everyone else and everyone got up to play us. I would venture to say that the Giants will not play that well on offense again the rest of the season. They came in fired up, score right away and we beat them anyway. :lmao2: That was the best they could play and we still beat them by 10 points and it could have been more.

It wouldn't bother me if every game this season went the same way, so long as we win them all by 10 points of course. :D

Except he is just under four so it was more of a temper trantrum than anything.

We were taking things from him so he decided to take our holiday pictures and said, "you get these back when you are behaving better". I had to fight off a laugh at that one.

Actually his stubbornness he gets from his mom. She was born in Ireland and I don't think she has ever apologized or accepted blame in the 17 years I have known her. He was refusing to apologize for hitting us.

It was quite a site. I think he hit my wife and I more last night than the Cowboys D hit the Giants.

I watched the game at a sports bar& grill with my girls family that are Giants fans and a whole crap load of Cowboys fans....it was SOOOOOO FUN!!..

The see-saw of the game reminded me of the NFC title game vs. Green Bay before SBXXX.

When we were up 16 I thought we had it finally in the bag and then all of a sudden it's down to 3 and I am trying to figure out how much Vodka I have left in the house. I thought, other than the fumble, Thompson got us in pretty good field position and that throw to Hurd was clutch man! Loved our 3rd down production!

Dad? :laugh2:

Yesterday nearly gave me, a relatively healthy 19 year old, heart failure. I was mentally drained after that one let me tell you

I would much rather watch a shootout than a blowout any day, especially when Dallas wins.

The new name for the Cowboys defense: The Easy Button.

Actually went thru the same thing, only my son is 26. He is a rabbid Cowboys fan and I thought he would have a coronary last night. But then again, I was in no better shape.

Your wife is from Ireland? Congrats. Might put some spine in that French blood of yours.

Don't stress, I am just kidding. :D

I find myself in agreement with you here that causes me some consternation.

Disturbing ...

CCF:

I have grown used to such high and lows watching the Cowboys lately. Still, I would not have it any other way. The only thing I hate about Sunday or Monday night Cowboys games, is that I am so pumped up that I do not get to sleep until at least 2.00 A.M.!
