Don't look now but...

3 straight wins, 2 of which were against awful teams. Let's not get ahead of ourselves....

They've got to stay afloat right now, and then get it done come the end of the season. Winning their next 4 games won't mean much if they tank again in December. That sounds like a broken record, but the Cowboys December/January record the last several years is pretty broken.

I agree. Dallas has some tough games ahead of them. Winning 3 in a row clearly helps boost the confidence of this team which they will need heading into these games. Thankfully this team seems to be focused on the game at hand not games that will be played later in the year. As for Dec when you get right down to it what took place in past Decembers has no bearing on what may or may not take place this December.

I disagree. There is a mental aspect to it and if you don't think those guys start gripping a little tighter as they head down the home stretch you're not getting it all. Some players step up as the fire gets hotter, some seek to just follow those that step up, and others tend to curl up in their shells. The core of players that have experienced multiple December folding acts are still on the team. There is a December monkey and I hope they're able to get it off of their backs this year. Call it what you want. Yeah. I'm blind. blah blah blah

Each season, each game, each play are entities on to themselves. The good teams are able to figure this out. Does Brookings or Seansebaugh care about what happened last December?

I agree there is a mental aspect to it but in the end what took place before can't be undone it is what it is. However that does not mean that is the way it has to be. Dallas was called chokers in the 60's because we could not win in the big game once Dallas did that went out the window. This is no different this is not the same exact team from last year and even if it was you focus on the here and now not yesterday.

The Wade Hate many of our fans is repulsive and ignorant. It's right up there close in ignorance to the Bozos that want Romo replaced...

Its easy....Jerry and Wade are idiots....always will be...

and throw in Garrett isnt a real OC and Romo is a just a undrafted scrub.....

and you have your recipe for a agenda.....

Lets see how this season plays out....... :)

I agree with you on this one, this team does seem to have a monkey on its back that seems to get heavier as December rolls in.The game is more mental than alot of people realize and when the same bad things start to happen it compounds the problem. If one will take the time to notice a team that has lost several close last minute games, heartbreakers if you will, sorta like the Giants game this year.Everytime that team gets into the waning moments of a game a losing mentality sets in as soon as they give up a play or two to the opposition.Next thing you know that team is demoralized and has that "here we go again look" on their faces. Will this team crumble come December, nobody knows for sure. However late season collapse has been a trait of this team and will continue to be a trait of this team until the proverbial monkey gets tossed from their backs.

During Player Interviews over the last three weeks you keep hearing about the higher level of Practice during the week in preparing for the next game.

This "Novel Ideal" was brought on and perpetuated by a Player (Kieth Brooking) not by a Coach.

Gee, I wonder who's idea it was to bring Brooking in?

If it's in these players' heads, then it absolutely will have a bearing. When I consider how well the team played in 2007 pre-December, I don't see how anyone can think it isn't an issue.

Romo is going to hear about this incessantly from the national and local media after the Raiders game. It's a big deal until they get it done.

It is not an issue unless the player thinks it is an issue. You play the game you can't worry about oh this is December. Work and prepare yourself and go out and execute if Dec is a given then why bother playing it? Our season is done. No doubt the media will continue to harp on it but the players themselves can't worry about that non sense you can only control what is in front of you there is nothing to can change of what already taken place.

Did I say it was a given?

Look at the team's December record the last decade, and more specifically the last 5 years, when many of these players first had an important role on this team. Look at Wade Phillips' December record vs. his record the rest of the season.

It can't be a coincidence. It's not an unusual trend. These guys go in the toilet when the playoffs start to come in focus. Any reasonable person would doubt then until they show otherwise.

It's easy to say it's no big deal when you're part of the peanut gallery. Ask some of those players if they have any recollection of what has happened to this team in recent Decembers.

They need to put a couple of more games like yesterday, before we start calling this team well coached.

I agree. The media will harp on it but the reality is there is nothing that can be done to change what has taken place what this team can do is continue to work hard and improve that is what is in their grasp and what they can do to change the outcome. You make it sound as why bother playing the game they are pre-determined and the fact is nothing is pre-determined what took place last season was last season

I hear you what you are saying and I think it is a meaningless stat what took place before is done and over all they can do is focus their attention on right now.
