Don't panic if we lose

These on-going petty feuds are amusing yet tiresome, I'll be so happy when this team turns the corner and there are fewer failings to diagnose!

Ummm sorry but this is a loser's mentality. How are losses longer in the long run? Are wins bad for the long run as well?

We lost the division by one game last year. If we had beaten Seattle week 2, we would have been in the driver seat at the end. So was that loss good for the long run? No. You want to win every game. Will you? 99% of the time, no. But no coach is going to say "yeah a loss here would be good". That's just foolish.

And between us and the Skins? Ha. Skins are going to be terrible this year.

We've been 8-8 the last 2 yrs........as Parcels said you are what you are until you prove otherwise.
a loss here would indicate we will again have a hard time stringing wins together.....realistically we might well be as healthy right now as we will be all year (knock on wood)

This team had the #1 pick in the draft last year. If the Cowboys want to be better than a perennial 8-8 team, these are the teams it should beat. So I think some panic may be appropriate.

If we lose it is not cause for "the world is ending" posts. We've got a win over a divisional rival and 9-7 can easily win this division. It'll likely be between us and the Commanders (whom are 0-1 facing Green Bay, who are also 0-1, I'd expect 0-2 for the Skins).

If we win we'd be in a great position but I don't want us getting cocky or complacent - a close loss here may be the best thing for the team in the long run.

I wouldn't assume 9 and 7 easily wins this division. That record MIGHT be enough to win it. Or it might be a "go home, no playoffs" record like it was last year for the Giants.

Thats like saying don't scratch if it itches. Nice try.

If we lose to the Chiefs, I think our season will mirror last years.

There's nothing (or not much) about a loss tomorrow that's going to be a long-term indicator for the entire season. That said, I'd be pretty bummed if we were to drop a game here. This is a game we should win if our team is on the right track. You drop a should-win in week 2, and you have to make it up against a better team somewhere down the line to stay on track.
