Don't Sleep on Justin Houston

6'3" 258 lbs

He's a 3-4 OLB who can possibly play with his hand down on end. Houston's a very smart player who knows his assignments and doesn't get suckered into play fakes. I see him going somewhere between 15-25 in the 1st round.

If you're in the market for a 34 OLB, it's Justin Houston > Aldon Smith all day...

Aldon Smith does not have the hips/agility to play in space or even come off the edge.

He's a 43 DE and I think he's going to be a poor one at that.

FWIW, Wes Bunting has him as his #11 ranked player in the draft and CNNSI's mock draft has him going #28 in the 1st round (to New England I believe...).

I think he's a little more agile than Spencer in that he can get good lean turning the corner. That's something great pass rushers like Derrick Thomas, LT, D-Ware, et cetera, can do. Spencer does not show that ability.

Houston is probably more explosive than Spencer was. He also has OLB experience from his yr in Todd Grantham's defense.

He's probably going to test exceptionally well at the combine, if he does he will definitely go in the first rd IMO.

I kind of agree with this. 19 sacks in three full season. Not an elite pass rusher to me but he did have a good year last year with 10 sacks. His lateral movement is good but not great. He has played 1 season as an OLB in the 34 but he did have a good season last year. He's also been suspended from the team for drug usage.

A good player but I don't view him as a better prospect then Smith. JMO
