Historically, the Eagles play their best when everyone leaves them for dead. "Put a fork in them" is their rallying call.

The Eagles have a two game winning streak going into the next two games against the morbid Giants and Jets. Then comes their bye week.

After their bye week comes the last four games of their regular season, all against division rivals.

They end the season against the Dallas Cowboys in Philadelphia....a week after the Cowboys have played the Cardinals.

A loss by the Cowboys to the Raiders or Saints, one loss to the Washington Unnamed, a loss to the Cardinals combined with an Eagles run on the Giants twice, Washington twice and the Jets........does any of this seem unrealistic?

The Eagles has been a team that almost always surges late in the season. It is entirely possible that a 10-6 Eagles team hosts a 10-6 Cowboys team in a game #17 to determine the division champion.

We all know the typical outcome of such a game.

The Cowboys must avoid this scenario at all costs by creating their own end of season surge.

There is a better chance the Eagles lose to Giants then the Cowboys lose to the Raiders. The Eagles are not going 5-1 in the division. Please stop this nonsense.

Couldn’t have said it better myself, brother.

You have put the horrid possibility out there. It’s sad but true.

The NFCE always surges at the end of the season. Eagles and WFT are hitting the gas pedal, whereas the Giants and Dallas are hitting the brakes. If history tells us anything, it’s that WFT won’t win it as we haven’t had a repeat winner in over 15 years. Between Eagles and Dallas now. Dallas has seemingly blew a tire in the race though. How long will it take for them to patch up and return to the race? Who knows. Either way, this team needs to become aware and realize the danger that surrounds them not only bearing playoff implications (the dreaded 4th seed seems destined to be ours, which could’ve been changed last week, but was not unfortunately), but the division and going to the playoffs as a whole.

I expect the Eagles to win their next 5 games and be 10-6 going into the Dallas game. Historically the Eagles play better in December, the Cowboys worse. The Cowboys shouldn't lose the division at this point, but that doesn't mean they can't. If they don't get healthy, and get that OL settled they are going to struggle going forward. I said this early in the year but I'd rather they started slow and got hot at the end than start hot and stumble into the playoffs.

This team will go as far as Dak can take them. If he plays like he did against Denver and KC, they will lose.

The Egals have the easiest schedule in the NFL in 2021 thanks to a .430 strength of schedule. They are the only team that has a strength of schedule below .450.

They're not going anywhere.

The Eagles could potentially overtake us if we keep losing and they keep winning. If we lose on Thursday they’ll only be two games down but we do have a win over them, however we have to play them in Philly in the season finale. Washington isn’t even out of it. Like Philly they’ve won two in a row and we still have to play them twice. Both teams will be back in it if we lose on Thursday. They’re trending up and we’re trending down right now.

Your post is within reasonable boundaries considering their easier schedule and how we have a knack to implode this time of the year.
No way we are winning in Philly......

I’ve seen a million and 1 asinine things on this board. This idea that the NFC East crown is in doubt is amongst the dumbest I’ve ever seen

If the Cowboys can't win the East with multiple games to spare, then they'll get bounced out of the playoffs quickly anyway.

And I'll say this...if the Cowboys can't win the NFCE, up 3 games half way through the season, then Big Mike needs to go the moment the season ends. And Kellen better hope he can keep his OC job as well.

Basically, if this team collapses, heads should roll...and since Jerry ain't gettin' any younger, hopefully he'll be much quicker on the trigger when it comes to coaching ineptitude. Mike's already proven that he ain't the best in-game coach, so he better have some other intangibles, that lead to an NFC East champion this season.

Despite their victories recently, Hurts hasn't really improved as a passer. Most of their success has been from his legs. Teams will adapt and force him to pass eventually, and I think he'll struggle.
