I don't understand why people want to keep 2 QBs, only to keep some player we won't even use, like a 9th LB, or 5th safety. Keep Matt Moore, yeah we have our QB, but Moore has looked good in practice and in the 1rst preseason game so let's keep him.

I agree. The kid looks to have some good talent and should be kept and groomed

How often do teams burn a pick on a kicker, have that kicker look very good in TC, show accuracy and good kickoffs during preseason, and then cut the player?

If you answered "almost never" then you win.

He's got a good arm but very inconsistent. No one we'd want to have to rely on to throw the ball -- at least not in his rookie season. Down the road, who knows.

On the other hand former Steeler Kordell Stewart was Slash but hungered to revert back to QB. Steelers gave him a chance & he started for them 1-2 years. Was decent but inconsistent passer so eventually lost his job there, signed with the Bears? but lost QB job there. He's been out of the NFL now for several years.

We don't want that to happen to Stanbach although he too wants to be a QB but understand his future in the NFL will be as a WR/PR.

Baring a sudden meltdown, Folk is on the roster. Only thing left to decide is weather or not we keep 2, atleast for the first part of the season.

Grammy is a vet so if he's on the roster when the season opens, his salary is guaranteed. Now if we don't care cap wise but want to use his slot on another needed player, then guess it's okay.

Forgot to add that maybe we could trade Grammy unless his contract has a no-trade clause. At least that way we'd get something for him -- maybe a
6th rounder.

Yeah, I did see that... And he was the first kicker taken. He looked bad.

Barring a sudden meltdown by Folk, I still think we keep both kickers. But if we don't, I'd trade one of them out of the division for a seventh round pick or a scrub just so the Skins didn't get him.

Well, if you "almost never" cut a Kicker that is doing well and that you drafted, I can't see why anyone would trade for Grammy because he will be cut then. The only way we are keeping 2 is if Folk can't hit FG's consistently but is a much better KO guy.

Well, neither of those are true right now, Grammy is Kicking off better and Folk is nailing FG's.

So, either Folk or Grammy is cut and I am betting on Grammy at this point.

Good point - I stand corrected. What did we sign him for anyway? Was it a 3 year deal?

His contract may make him hard to trade, do not really remember the details.

But to get anything from him would be a bonus.
