He won the DPOY while making a total of about 5 plays all yr...he's VASTLY overrated...I've never seen him make a significant play in any game I watched the Colts play..saw plenty of goobers ewwing and ahhing over him, but other than some decent hits vs run plays, he never did jack.

For the reputation and the Defensive MVP title, he is overrated, way overrated.

He is good player no doubt, but not the player he got accolades for. Heck far below what he gets accolades for.

He has total of 6 Ints for his career! He would have been roasted here in Dallas if he had those stats.

I get to watch a bunch of Bills games each year and the guy is never around the ball...ever. He is not a ball hawk by any means. The only way he comes onto this team is purely for depth and even then there have got to be better options at better prices. Also, he doesn't seem to wrap up well when tackling and that type of stuff bothers the hell out of me.

No. Sanders was pretty much out that year. It was James Harrison who won that year. Sanders won it either 2006 or 2007 I think.

Sanders won it in 2007, and Ware should have been DPOY that yr. Harrison stole it in 2008, and Ware should have won it that yr as well. That was the yr he had the 20 sacks, but his 2007 season was outstanding as well.

The 2007 yr where Sanders won the joke of a DPOY he hed under 100 tackles, only 6 passes defensed, 2 interceptions and no forced fumbles. In fact for his CAREER Sanders has only 2 forced fumbles, 15 (FIFTEEN) passes defensed and 6 ints.

The much maligned Roy Williams had 3 consecutive seasons with double digit passes defensed, picked off 19 passes, scored 3 tds and forced 9 fumbles while he was in Dallas. In facts his 2002 and 2006 seasons were better statistically than Sanders entire career numbers.

The guys a joke of a player, I dont even see it as a discussion about him being VASTLY overrated.

Whitner's a good run defender. Unfortunately for him, the NFL is mostly about pass defense these days. Unfortunately for us, he'd probably be a starter if he came to Dallas.

He's a backup on any team that has safeties that can cover at all.
