Door slams on acquiring another WR

It was good to see Stanback in getting some reps also.

Oh yeah it was. He's only going to get better too. It will be nice to see him rip off a big one... but with Hurd and Austin coming back, Dallas will be even harder to stop in the future. But I do hope Stanback gets some opportunities. Now the next step is to stop killing their own drives with penalties.

I'm just so gratified by Jason Garrett's offensive that, yes, I and probably others have neglected the DBs. And the line. And the O-line. Christmas came early this year . . . . I get emotional from these type of games. . . . No, that is not a tear in my eye. Just some pepper spray that cute girl at the mall keeps squirting in my eyes.

Garrett is going to be even better this year, and plus that second year of Wade's defense...

Hey, was that emotion partly because Felix Jones got tripped up by the last man en route to that long TD yesterday.;)

Crayton is going to have a good year this year. His hands were like they had stucco on them yesterday. With TO and Witten as your first two options, I don't think I'll loose too much sleep with Crayton as number 3.

It's just 1 game against a bad secondary. he did look good but he has a test next week as does our whole team.

They get Green Bay next. If unproven Aaron Rodgers also beats them and they are 0-2 panic will set in.

The trade deadline is always the Tuesday after the 6th week. That puts it at October 14th this year. They have their bye week in between now and then.

I think a 1-4 start opens the door. For that matter so does 0-3.

I would love for this to happen, but I don't think it will. I just don't see how unloading RW in the middle of the season would have any benefits for Detroit. If they get draft picks in return, it won't help them now so they may as well wait 'till the end of the year. Teams will have a better idea of what their cap situation will be like for the following year and therefore more teams will be able to bid.

I think the only way RW gets traded by the deadline is if he becomes an absolute cancer in the locker room.

Whah-wah-whah-waaa.

Oh, Mr. Pessimist McBleak!;)
Let me enjoy, savor this win.
The Cowboys met all my expectations.
Even Wade looked a bit fired up on the sidelines.

Yes, you are right, of course. The E-girls game will provide a test for our guys.

I'm a little more worried about Roy Williams at this point. He was horrible yesterday, IMO, against a Falcons secondary that is terrible. There is no way around it that secondary is terrible and with Johnson killing them there is no reason Roy shouldn't have been seeing himself some one on ones and making more plays. 3 catches for like 47 yards and that 1 TD. That isn't exactly impressive against such a weak secondary, especially since they were throwing a lot after getting down 21-0 early.

I'm holding out any final judgement, on rather I'd rather have Roy Williams or if I'm more happy with Crayton at the #2 spot for at least the first 3-4 games.

Right now Crayton is in the lead.

We still need to look for that #1 WR for the future, it could be Austin, but we won't know that until he's back and healthy.

But Crayton is a legit #2, just a note: Your number 2 won't always tear it up on Sundays so don't expect it please.

BTW, let me add something. Garrett is really a genius, and I'm serious about that.

He takes Crayton, who doesn't have straight-line speed, and mainly uses him on slants and crossing patterns. Even the slowest of slow can take 2 steps up, and then cut hard towards the middle of the field, and that's mainly how Garrett uses him.

Smart guy.
