per nfl draftnetwork, they have him listed at TE kinda light for a TE though 225 or so,

cj, i think he would be more of a h-back for us.

so far, we've looked at him and graham as a hback.

Put him in the slot, he would be a nightmare for LBs and DBs

i think thats what the cowboys are looking for with all the wrs they are looking at, a wr that can run in the slot and be imposing

isn't he to big to play in the slot? I'm all for drafting him though. He'd create mismatches as a FB, WR, TE, RB.

He's not too big with that speed.

Maybe he's just what we need...another playmaker!

He was a man without a position at Pitt.

Started his career at RB (that was a big reason why he chose pitt, a lot of teams wouldn't give him a shot there), then he moved to LB, then to WR, and finished at what I guess was TE.

Really not sure where you would line him up in an offense. Don't think he will get off the line lined up at a traditional TE spot. If he's in the slot or in the backfield as an H-Back he could get out in his routes. Doesn't offer much in the blocking department.

With these numbers, Dorin Dickerson should probably play WR.

HT - 6013
WT - 226
ARM - 34
HAND - 9 3/4
REPS - 24
40 - 4.40
VJ - 43.5"
BJ - 10'5"

He's quick, has got long arms and can obviously jump for the ball. I wish he was taller, but he still taller (and faster) than Crayton, Ogletree and Shipley too. If he could just drop a few pounds, he would make a great slot receiver IMO.

I'm liking the potential of this kid...a lot.

Well ok, Dickerson is not quite as fast as Ogletree (4.36) was last year, but he's still got outstanding speed at 226lbs.

:)

He did??

Excellent... that should put those "he's not that fast" whispers to bed, once and for all...

And I seem to recall one ursine poster in here predicting that he'd run a sub-4.4 at the combine (patting self on the back)...

Don't pat yourself too much, the WRs haven't run yet I don't think.

I haven't heard or read ANYTHING that says Shipley can run a sub 4.4 forty.

Link?

We'll know soon enough.

I'd put this kid in the backfield at FB.. If he started out a RB and was switched to LB, then u know he's aggressive enough to be a lead blocker. And I would think that playing TE, he has to have some blocking ability, he might to light to do so on a full time basis as a TE in the NFL, but he could possibly be a pretty dangerous matchup out the backfield.

Dickerson simply doesn't have enough size to play TE or FB at 6013 226lbs.

He just looks like a WR to me in these photos...

I read somewhere yesterday (somewhere online) that he figures he'll eventually play at about 240...

Also, be advised that he scored 6 TDs this season as Pitt's goal-line fullback... and so, the only remaining question would seem to be his ability to lead block... given that he played some linebacker in college too, I'm guessing he doesn't mind hitting people...

no links. I'm pretty sure the announcers at the Mercedes challenge commented that he was working hard on his 40 for the combine and being in san marcos i know people close to the team that have told me he is right at that 4.40 mark.

but like you said we shall know soon.
