I can't believe that the amazing Giselle Bunchen is getting slammed here

Like a lot of supermodels who are chosen for their ability to wear clothes more so than their actual looks, Bundchen is way overrated.

:D It's part of the Dallas culture to have a problem with it. We still remember how the team of the 90's over partied, and couldn't handle that kind of lifestyle. We still remember Mark Tuinei ODing after a party. So of course people from Dallas are going to jump all over this, if there is any sign of those days coming back.

Going to Mexico during your off time is a bit different than heading over to the old white house to get stoned or hanging out at some local night club. Romo and the rest of the players were given some time off to go relax.

The trip from Dallas to Mexico that is a pretty short air flight and in the meantime Romo had a chance to escape the idiots who hang around looking for cheap stories that have nothing to do with football.

He did not miss a single workout and had no team to get ready for since we had no clue as to who we may be facing at that point. This is one big non story it just has no bearing on anything.

Why? Because he took some time off that his coach was OK with? I still don't understand why everyone has gotten their panties in a bunch over this! There wasn't any practice, film to review, or an opponent to get prepared for.

Because he knows EXACTLY what sort of issues this can raise. Do you really believe that if he performs poorly and we get bounced from the playoffs that no one on the team is going to question his actions? He's going to get called out if he doesn't perform well and will possibly create some major issues in the locker room.

Romo knows he put himself in this situation -- he would be stupid to not understand the press this would generate.

If Romo doesn't perform well on Sunday, he's going to face some serious backlash and it will be justified.

This whole going to Mexico thing with Jessica is absolutely laughable. The team was given 3 days off to "get away from football" and to relax. Many players travel back to their home, others go on a get-away, etc. Just because Romo goes to Mexico with Jessica seems to be a big deal. Why? I suppose all of the married players should have told their wives that they couldn't be around them last weekend. I also suppose all of the other players that have non-celebrity girlfriends should have done the same thing. Don't buy into this tabloid crap. If you do, you're just a weak-minded sheep. And that's what the media wants. It's just a story to fill up papers and radio and TV time. Nothing more. Had Romo taken a weekend trip with a girl from his hometown, no one would have cared.

But people DO care when he does celebrity stuff like this -- it attracts too much attention. With all the money on that trip, they all could have gone somewhere totally private and avoided all the talk. Again, if Romo lays an egg, this is going to cause some serious locker room issues.

Please. Tom Brady has won superbowls and just had the greatest single season in the history of QBs.

There is no double standard.

Theres times when the media bias is appropriate to call out. This isn't one of them.

Manning's season a couple years ago was better than Brady's.

People have questioned Romo's focus as of late due to his game the last quarter of the season. If he played well then nobody would care if he went to Siberia.

Brady has also done a good job of keeping Gisele in the background whereas Papa Joe Simpson has pimped his daughter into the limelight and tried to get maximum exposure.

I'm sure if Brady was in the same situation they would have slammed him as well, especially if he had his worst performance in a game where she was constantly seen.

It's not Romo's fault..........
He is just living his life to the fullest, and I for one don't blame him.

Seriously why would anyone be pissed at him? He went on vacation to Cabo/Cancun with Jessica Simpson, probably getting some nice *** hourly. He is the QB of the Dallas Cowboys, he is making 60+ million dollars.

I for one am glad he went to Mexico.

I am shocked people are upset over this, especially Cowboy fans. Its his life and he can do whatever the hell he wants to do with it.

and he doesn't give a rat's *** what the media thinks. He even said so, so get used to it, or find another QB/team to like these next 6 years.

See Parcells Rule #1 for QBs, then you'll know why Cowboy fans/media are talking about it more than they should...that and the fact that Simpson sucks and her father is a media *****
