Getting rid of La'el Collins was another completely idiotic decision by this front office. You went from pro bowl caliber to career backup at starting RT.

Just dumb and they'll be desperate for a real RT next offseason.

More horrific analysis by you. Collins wasnt close to pro bowl form after his year hiatus from football. It was a no brainer move by the FO. The line was better with Steele at RT than with Collins in there.

Now Steele may or may not work out, but at least they got rid of the overpaid and underperforming Collins.

Agree generally but McCarthy isn't the problem right now. I know the internet hates him, but look at the way the front office has treated the roster this offseason. They've gutted it and expect him to save it and when he doesn't they'll make it his problem.

I have to wonder (at least a little), if Jerry is setting Big Mike for failure this season just so he can justify bringing in Sean Payton with some higher draft picks for him to use?

Speaking of Philly since its an Eagles poster asking the question, when people wonder why the Eagles are getting some hype this year, note these rankings. When you have an elite OL, you can cover up a lot of issues. According to Farrar, they have the #2 and #5 OTs, the #2 OC and the #10 OG.

They are loaded along the OL. Hence why they will likely be in a lot of games this year, even with Hurts, and a chance to win 9-10 games again against a weak as hell schedule.

Also, as I have said in the past, Jerry's biggest issue the last 25 years hasn't necessarily been his roster choices (granted, he's put out some doozy rosters). His biggest flaw as a GM is that he just flat out sucks at hiring coaches. We all have our reasons why that's the case but at the end of the day, when you look at his coaching choices, they have been abysmal after Jimmy. The best was likely Parcells but they pulled him off a TV desk when they hired him as he had been out of football.

What is interesting is two current free agents make his list also......... LBer Alexander Johnson and Center, CJ Tretter.

Love to get both signed one-year deals
Will their former teams re-sign them - or other teams get them as TC gets underway.

The Bengals say hi.

You know, the team that got to the SB last year - a place we have NOT GOTTEN CLOSE TO IN 26 YEARS.

As usual your so called opinion is garbage.

"Pro Bowl Caliber"

Never been to a pro bowl.

Steele will make you eat your words.

Amazing how off some of these so called fans are. LOL

Collins missed a year and then got suspended for another 6 games because he tried to bribe a doctor with his urine sample. The guy comes back skinny and weak and can barely block and these cry babies get all soiled about it. LOL

LOL.....so the Cowboys have "gutted the roster" eh? More cry baby dramatics. I must have missed the gutting part.

And you can bet that whatever changes the Cowboys made to the roster, MM was in on all of it. Getting rid of aging, overpaid veterans has been a hallmark of MM's tenure since he has been here. Starting with the expunging of turds like Jaylo Smith. And hopefully ending with kicking Zeke to the curb after this season.

So bc the Bengals got to the super bowl they now know more than anyone?

lol.

There are few teams right now that know less than us.

This 25 year run by Jerry has been one of the driest in NFL postseason history and ranks with some of the worst franchises in NFL history. Let that sink in. It's pretty funny watching people continue to give Jerry the benefit of the doubt year after year and the results end up being pretty much the same.

I think the Bengals put Collins back at guard, which I believe was his better position. So there is that. Bengals Oline was horrible last year.
