More horrific analysis by you. Collins wasnt close to pro bowl form after his year hiatus from football. It was a no brainer move by the FO. The line was better with Steele at RT than with Collins in there.

Now Steele may or may not work out, but at least they got rid of the overpaid and underperforming Collins.
A list that has Collins and not Sewell is a strange list

There are few teams right now that know less than us.

This 25 year run by Jerry has been one of the driest in NFL postseason history and ranks with some of the worst franchises in NFL history. Let that sink in. It's pretty funny watching people continue to give Jerry the benefit of the doubt year after year and the results end up being pretty much the same.
Just some bad luck and unfortunate instances. We haven't been bad team this whole time. We have had teams that had a chance to win it and came up short for a myriad of reasons.

The doom a gloom nature of the "25 and counting" crowd is overblown, imo.

Collins whom we just released is 12th. Watch him regain his ability under a real coaching staff.
Of course he will.

He’s motivated now. He was just fat and lazy his last two seasons here.

We are about a month away from his “This a real football team” “They focus on only football here” “Best shape of my life” from him

It’s that country club life style JJ has. He wants his players to have the best. And players get comfortable. Parsons needs to stay hungry or he will be the next D-Law. Holding off a surgery so he can get paid. Or holding out 2 years early. JJ caves to easy.

Until Agnes Flushbottom, the resident censor of The Zone, gives her rankings this is all just foreplay.

BTW, I checked with her about using that word and she said OK but that I probably didn't know what it meant.

Getting rid of La'el Collins was another completely idiotic decision by this front office. You went from pro bowl caliber to career backup at starting RT.

Just dumb and they'll be desperate for a real RT next offseason.

Collins is underrated by many Cowboys fans, and Steele is overrated by those same fans. Someone will eat crow during this upcoming season, maybe it will be me, but I have a feeling Collins will have a good season for the Bengals and Steele is going to struggle in Dallas.

I am a little surprised Tyron is listed so high. I am not surprised Collins made the list. I am more surprised two Eagles are in the top 5. Shocked actually. They have a strong OL but Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata are not top 5 OTs.

LOL. 3 playoff wins in 25 years and it’s bad luck?

It literally is one of the worst runs in NFL history in terms of post season success. Calling it “overblown” is hilarious.

Professional athletes shouldn't have to be motivated by rah rah antics. If they can't motivate themselves for millions of dollars, they deserve to be cut.

Can’t disagree with that. But how long have we been watching this team playing under JJ ownership. He has set up a sense of what he feels as owning the team and it spreads through the players. When you can bypass the coaches and go straight to the owner with your problems then it makes it rough as a coach of any kind to do anything. “What’s that Ranching you don’t want to do wind sprints because your calf hurts. Well how about if you don’t play in the games. Don’t care if your supposed to be a starter. Your *** rides the pines.” “Ok coach glimmerman I will see you in the morning. Then later that night JJ calls coach glimmerman and tells him that this is your first string RB in Ranching and he said his calf is sore and he can’t do windsprints.. so he don’t do wind sprints and he starts opening day.” So yeah what do you do. Me I am quitting and then the next rb coach that comes in and is making 250k a year will let Ranching do what ever he wants. I as glimmerman will be begging for a assistant job somewhere..

Exactly, he is fighting for his career as a starter.

"Pro Bowl Caliber"

Never been to a pro bowl.

Steele will make you eat your words.

"Steele will make you eat your words."

It's one of those posts you look back at years later to laugh at.

Like most of your Dak posts?

Steel can do what Collins can do for pennies on the dollar. At least Steel will play and not get suspended.

He feels better now.

So lets just look at some funny things you said and some other interesting facts.

LAel Collins has NEVER made the pro bowl. So he has NEVER been a pro bowl talent. That was your first laugher.

Collins was hurt for all of 2020 and suspended the first 5 games of 2021. So is this author talking about the Collins prior to 2 years ago?

The author give an example of Collins blocking against the bucs in a video. Well Collins was still suspended when we played the bucs last year first game of the year. So what game is he talking about? Again, several years back?

And lets address what happened to the Cowboys Oline in the 2nd half of the year after Collins returned. It basically went in the toilet. So Collins returns and the run game goes missing and the pass blocking becomes suspect.

Then the desperate Bengals sign Collins to a what is essentially a 2 years 20 million dollar contract. Heck even the Bengals didnt think much of Collins. Doesnt sound like they thought he was top 12 either.

So your comments and this article are a complete laugher. And thats not even taking into account Collins bloated contract with the Cowboys.

Steele is not Collins, not even close

Which Collins? The one from 3 years ago or the one that returned after a year and a half off?

I would say at this point in their careers they are a wash with more upside to Steele. Steele has less chance of injury and less chance to get suspended. Collins missed the last year and a half from both prior to his return. After which, the Oline went into the toilet.

Then we take salary into account. Steele is getting less than 1 million and Collins was getting 15 million I believe from the Cowboys.

It was a wise move and at least we give Steele a legitimate chance to win the job. IF Steele cant handle it, we replace him. Simple as that.

Great move by the FO to continue the youth movement and get rid of over priced veterans with bad contracts.
