If he is healthy, we're going to need him. Winning in Green Bay, we're going to need our running game to perform on all cylinders.

We have to get out there early, not just so that we're not facing constant pass rush like this week, but because we have to take Lacy out of the game early. If this defense can tee up on Rodgers in short spurts, we can win this game.

That's the key Galian. The Lions were unable to stop Lacy and because of it where on their heels the whole game vs GB and their pass rush never put a finger on a fairly immobile Rodgers.

the way I look at it, Dallas did not play well in the first half...that will be their "bad" period in the playoffs...thus, I see them getting back to what got them in this position, playing keep-away from Rodgers and scoring...

No. Doug Free is not the "key" to anything.

It much mor important that other injured players be healthy. RoMc, Carter, Hitchens, TMcClain all have injury issues. Josh Brent didn't appear to be getting the push he got in the other game he played, probably because of his calf issue.

I think people just scan the injuries and pick out an injured starter like Free and exclaim missing him is a big issue. Free is unlikely to have been able to block Ansah for more than 4 seconds.

Everything I've seen says Free is probably done because of bone spurs.

In Green Bay's 4 losses this year

They gave up

Loss 1: 207 yards on the ground, Rodgers had 1 pick.
Loss 2: 115 yards on the ground, Rodgers had only 1 td.
Loss 3: 193 yards on the ground, Rodgers had 2 picks.
Loss 4: 113 yards on the ground, Rodgers had 2 picks.

They key to beating them is running the ball well, getting up early, and forcing Green Bay to beat you in the air.

You take time away from Green Bay by control TOP, and they aren't the Eagles. It'll mean less Rodgers, especially if you can get a couple 3 and out plays. It also exposes that Green Bay defense that turns into a sieve. Playing from behind Rodgers can be careless especially under duress.

People overreacting about that first half, idk why they waited to run from 11 personel in shotgun after they had seend the jets and packers run with success like that. Free would not have made a difference

i agree in general that the Oline has to play well,Martin was pushed around a lot against Detroit but he held up in pass protection in the closing stages,i am not impressed by Leary's game against the lions.

I have high hopes for Parnell, but he didn't have a very good game.

Jermey Parnell has his bad plays, I haven't re-watched the game yet, but I thought a couple of holds got missed.

The coverage sack that Parnell's guy had was on Tony Romo.

I thought he held up pretty well.

Tyron Smith certainly also gave up some hits on Romo, the Lions have a strong DL.

Anyone upset with Parnell should re-watch the Colts game and see how their swing tackle, Xavier Nixon, fared when put in a starting role.

Parnell just needs to keep playing.

If he gets an entire off-season, training camp and pre-season to settle in at RT, I believe the team he is playing for will be pleased.

Dallas Cowboys don’t expect starting RT Doug Free to play Sunday at Green Bay Packers

The Dallas Cowboys don’t expect starting right tackle Doug Free to play Sunday at the Green Bay Packers after missing the last three games with an injured left ankle and foot.

“It’s still going to be tough for Doug to play this week,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Monday on KRLD-FM.

“He’s trying to get back but we’ll just have to see. We’re taking that week by week, but it’s an uphill battle for Doug to get back for this week.”

Garrett said he thought Parnell “held up fairly well” Sunday against Detroit’s stout defensive line.

“At times there was some push in the pocket,” Garrett said. “At times he didn’t block the guy who we wanted him to block. He fought well, battled well. As the game wore on, he probably played a little stronger.”
