Parnell was fine yesterday.

Romo had many attempts with ample time back there.

The late TD to TWill is one example

Nobody on the OL was "fine" yesterday. They gave up 6 sacks and a dozen hits on Romo. They got a little better as the game went on, but it was not a strong performance.

Which they have from time to time. And if thats the game they have a tough performance then I am excited to see next week.

They had a few stinkers this year but not many. And generally the week after they bounced back and played really well.

DET has one of the best DLs in the game and added a bunch of blitzes that caught them off guard. It wasn't a strong performance, but they got it done when they had to and should handle GB better next week.

At least 3 of those sacks were on Romo

At least 3 of those sacks were on Romo. Another one it was probably Romo's fault because he didn't quite read the blitz correctly, but I question the line call as well.

Agreed.

3 were definitely coverage sacks on Tony Romo.

Both Ndamukong Suh sacks and Ziggy Ansah's.

There was a great blitz where the RDE (Ziggy Ansah?) shifted inside at the last moment after our protection had been set and it allowed Tahir Whitehead to shoot through clean.

It was a tough start to the game, but the offense adjusted and really seemed to clean things up in the second half.

Agreed but they responded at the end. I think that group will grow from that. That was a nasty front they played against. No shame in losing that battle right now.

The other team pays its players, too. We can't expect perfection on every play, particularly against a stout defense.

Our line didn't dominate the point of attack but gave a winnable effort in terms of its run blocking. I thought the blitz pickup was atrocious early but much better in the second half. Three or four of those sacks were on Romo hanging on to the ball and trying to do too much, so tough to blame the line on those.

I'd rather we have a healthy Doug Free in the lineup, but can accept Parnell starting. If that's the only iffy starter this week, we are in decent shape all things considered.
