cannot believe some people think he can get stronger. 3 years in a professional weight program and you are as strong as you are going to get. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

Your strength peaks much later than your speed does and can usually be improved over time. He may benefit from just adding another 10 lbs or so of mass so he can anchor in a bit better. At LT it should be less of a problem as it is more of a finesse position.

We need to get out of the mindset of bigger as better at OL. That is how we won in the 90s with Emmitt who is a once in a generation type of RB with respect to vision. I think Romo is our best player and he would work better with a finesse line that could get out in space because he is so good on the move and has tremendous ability to run deceptive plays.

Nope, no kidding. Way less heat coming from Romo's right side since Free came into the lineup. The couple of free shots Romo has taken from free blitzers were not due to Free's mistakes.

I think he has probably been our best OL over the last 3 weeks except for a couple of plays against the Raiders. He will get better and he is an LT not a RT so he is doing quite well all things considered.

Fair enough. I would like to see him at LT. I think he could be a shutdown guy on the left side with how well his footwork as been.

I am GLAD I have finally found someone who AGREES Davis needs to be moved. First of all, you cannot have a RG making 45M dollars. Secondly, I really think if Dallas had drafted the Center they missed in the 2nd round, Gurode would have been moved to RG. I think Gurode is not a good enough technician to play C. His power is being wasted at C. And I also agree Free needs to be the LT next year. What are we so afraid of...the core of Flo, James, Newman, Witten, Gurode, Barber....etc have not won ANYTHING. This NEEDS to be shaken up. And I would start with Bradie James. I am picking him because I have never been big on him as the LEADER of this defense. I wish our most talented would also be our most fiery and have the best leadership qualities. But that is just NOT who Ware is.

Bradie James isn't the leader of this defense. Our leader on defense went out with a neck strain yesterday. We'll see who steps up. My guess (not really going out on a limb) is Keith Brooking.

Free played well. He was not a problem. Obviously, he isn't up to Columbo's prowess, but he was solid. The run game was hot until the red zone and the 4 and out debacle on the 1 ft line. If you watch closely, the line stunted every run and it was actually Kosier who whiffed on the last stunt and missed his block completely and, .....Barber was stuffed for the last time. For the record, 70 looked weak down there too. One thing is for sure...the line misses Columbo and his attitude. He brings some fury to the right side and tries to punish his defender.

I think Ware SHOULD be the leader of this defense...but I do not think it is in his make up. Bradie James has always been and will always be an AVERAGE player. Never good for the captain of the defense to be an AVERAGE player.

I guess comparing Bradie James to Ray Lewis is out.

While he in not the second coming of Anthony Munoz, Free is not why they lost yesterday. Look real hard at the secondary.

Are we dumping on Free, or James in this thread? Hysterical overreacting can be so confusing sometimes!
