Wentz is probably happy. Will be a competition for QB1 this year.

bingo, especially on a national tv game

The move garnered a lot of criticism from around the league. Chris Collinsworth called him out on national TV for tanking. Pederson looked embarrassed trying to explain his decision claiming all his top guys were out there at the end when Hurts was on the bench. It sealed his fate in my opinion.

He lost the team with that stunt in the last game, regardless if it was his decision or not. Players won't play for a guy that is not 100% committed to winning, which is why Coaches and players never tank, this is the result.

I agree . It seems as if it came down to Wentz or Pederson and they sided with the guy who is regressing badly.................
But the guy they’re stuck with because if the contract. They’re sticking to see if someone else can turn him around and recover their $ investment.

Much of the response over at Bleeding Green Nation is that GM Howie Roseman should have gotten the axe instead of HC DOUG PEDERSON.

He's a fall guy. Im sure an edict came from above to tank the last game and now he is being sacrificed to save face/

It has to be about more than his record there. They may blame him for wentz not doing good too. Then that last game, if that was his idea, then
that was nail in coffin.
