It seems like he’s going up against more speed at the 53-man NFL roster level. I’m not seeing him running away from tacklers like he was in the preseason.
those guys he was running away from were backup and former NFL players who didn't make it. shrugs, I'd rather see Luppey run over some guys instead of deuce running under guys' legs.

I think they both have their roles and one is much different than the other.

I would like to see Deuce have the opportunity to work more with the starting offense.

I have no problem with him getting more opportunities but to me, he's a gimmick player, he might have some flashers against a bad run defense. shrugs.

This is lowkey a big deal.
SF has a big, good front and Dallas could have used Dowdle's blocking.
I wonder if Dallas promoted a PS guy or adds someone off the street at RB.

You'd love to have Jonathon Taylor this week but a 2nd round pick is nuts and they only want that if projected to be high in R2.

It's obvious that the next guy up would be Davis

Get ready for 7 carries for 5 yards.
If he gets in during a blowout at the end with backup lineman in there, then possibly. Most of his runs the Oline is getting blown up into the backfield.

...yep, Deuce is no big back for Dallas. His best use is in open field.
Even Zeke when tackled by free defenders rushing on to him can’t escape , I believe that is on OL run blocking , it’s different from moving pile in RZ . Deuce has wiggle to make the 1st guy miss or not sure tackle him but that can only happen if run blocking by OL TEs and even WRs is good .

Yes, he will make some plays sooner or later.

All RBs have to run between the tackles. Deuce can run between the tackles. No, he’s not a power back who will run through a LB for a 2-3 yard gain when met in the hole, but we do run up the middle and spring guys into the second level in games. That just isn’t going to happen often in a blowout where you are just killing time. The defense was stacked inside and blitzing outside because they knew we were running. There’s no way fans should be judging a RB on Carrie’s in the final minutes of a game.
