All RBs have to run between the tackles. Deuce can run between the tackles. No, he’s not a power back who will run through a LB for a 2-3 yard gain when met in the hole, but we do run up the middle and spring guys into the second level in games. That just isn’t going to happen often in a blowout where you are just killing time. The defense was stacked inside and blitzing outside because they knew we were running. There’s no way fans should be judging a RB on Carrie’s in the final minutes of a game.
I wouldn't worry about it Chuck. Some posters are going to bad mouth him until he has a big game. He will have one eventually.

If he gets in during a blowout at the end with backup lineman in there, then possibly. Most of his runs the Oline is getting blown up into the backfield.
Can’t use the OL excuse forever. Starters, or back ups. He should be doing better.
Run inside or outside, he is just not getting it done. Not yet. I will give him more time though.

Deuce seems to go down too easily to have anything but a specialty role IMO and be used more out in space. Love the kid but they seem to just toss him around. I suspect Davis will be called up for the week if Dowdle can't go
I told you guys during preseason that Vaughn is very easy to tackle but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

You use the Oline excuse until the Oline starts playing better. Are you not watching the games?

Half the carries for Deuce have come in mop up duty with the backup Oline.

YOu want to make a determination based on a small sample size be my guest.

The guy has barely even been given carries. With Dowdle out for the next few games he should get some legitimate carries.

Martin's a warrior but in three weeks straight it's been a groin, then an ankle, now a quad.

Hope he's not catching Tyron Smith disease.

Like the forced passes in the flat. He is just supposed to blow up like a land mine and start running. He also spun out of the tackle by Judon and pulled is arm apart probably knocking him out for the season.

The defense knowing it will be a run play is no excuse.
You use that to defend one RB but yet another RB you said what I am saying.
No double standards.

OMG, throw a raw steak on it and get back on the field! These kids today got no heart. Why, I remember Ronnie Lott amputating his pinkie so he could get back in the game!

J/K, I'm sure it's hard to move much with a deep hip bruise.

It’s just pain tolerance. Shoot it up and get out there! :muttley:

This is lowkey a big deal.
SF has a big, good front and Dallas could have used Dowdle's blocking.
I wonder if Dallas promoted a PS guy or adds someone off the street at RB.

You'd love to have Jonathon Taylor this week but a 2nd round pick is nuts and they only want that if projected to be high in R2.
If the Colts have to part ways with Taylor, they are going to request a high return in a trade.
Ask for a B+ haul...accept a B\B- exchange.
Dangling it out there to see if one team will bite.

Of course, but they have carried the requests into week 5.
They already turned down what I'd consider solid offers from multiple teams.
They started at R1, and have fallen to high R2.

Realistically, might accept an R3 and a lower end roster filler like Gholston but that's still a lot to me for a Back.

It has worked out swimmingly for Sf this far with CMC but he hasn't even hit a full year yet and I never wanna bet on RB health.

It's obvious that the next guy up would be Davis
Sounds and feels right but they let him fall or RB4 and may prefer to look elsewhere.
Stealing another team's practice squad back kinda appeals.

But given nothing has happened yet Davis may well be it this week or until Dowdle is back.

Nah, letting him stay in for pass protection. The kid can handle it.
