Yeah, I feel pretty much the same way. I would’ve traded up in a heartbeat for a guy like Aaron Donald… but I don’t think I would for Downs, though I do really like him as a player. I’d easily take him at 12 but I’m not giving up extra trade capital for him.

I agree. It’s just one of those situations that our pick may be too late to get him. Even if we had a 2 I don’t think I’d do that either. I want Downs and bemoan the hype. But with my two picks I can get two defense starters. That’s the objective route now. Come out of this draft with two starters on defense.

Im more and more impressed with Dillon Theineman (sp) not that he's as good as Downs but taking Theineman @ 20 allows a blue chipper like Styles to be taken at 12. Dillon isn't that far off Downs.
The team would be better built taking Styles with Theineman. JMO
