People can gloat and brag about his release but the guy was damn good in college. He deserve to be looked at in late rounds like he was. He was never the savior but the plan was to see what he could do in open space when given the chance. He was limited in size and his lack of special teams play. He had no spot. The only way he can make a team is if he plays special teams and we have a returner. His size has never stopped him before so I won’t bet against him. Hope wherever he goes he kills it.

They’re lurking for a huge star at rb but they haven’t chased one . They want a nig time guy there and they’re playing until they find one.

There’s lot of depth at wr. Tolbert and brooks are like solid. Holden and flournoy have bigger ceilings. It’s a good room

Tight end is deep and they have lipke but schoon is kinda here

They put tons of resources in o line and I don’t think we feel like they’re good. They haven’t played together yet I bet you can blitz the heck out of us early and often

The defense is light but who knows maybe they click and it’s like a top 5 group and new stars emerge and they all have nicknames and secret handshakes and things get fun again

And at quarterback we got the last guy to leave the party as the hosts are vacuuming and putting food away and he’s still messing around like he’s gonna get it going again

Until they stacked the team Philly was seriously talking about him not having it. And that was because he just isn’t a great QB. He struggles as a traditional drop back passer. Alabama saw the same thing in college. They had to simplify his reads and the less traditional drop back passing he did the better their offense looked. He’s roughly Trent Dilfer. To think he’s remotely in the same category as the Stafford, Burrow, and those guys is just plain silliness.

You’re talking about his first year as a starter. If we’re going with sophistry for this, Burrow was bad his first year too. Stafford was bad his first year. How did those two even make the top 20? Oh, we’re only comparing the Hurts in 2021 to the Burrow in 2024 and the Stafford in 2024.

How about we compare them to the Hurts who has a lifetime 20TD-4Turnover playoff total? 95 playoff passer rating in 9 games? Career 94 passer rating in the regular season, which is higher than Baker & Stafford in their careers and actually higher than Mahomes in the last 2 years. What was Hurts’ rating last year? 103.

Or we could just get stuck on the 2021 version of Hurts who dragged a 4-win team to the playoffs. A postseason event he has never missed, whether he was leading a good eagles team or a bad one
