lol Nahshon wright. UDFA tape but the cowboys take him in the 3rd because he had long arms. Lol
HE IS NOT being traded, why is your obsession with this? We can't cut Mazi, but we can trade a GENERATIONAL talent who is just caught up in a silly game with Jerry Jones, come on JazzTrade him
Well he's not a linebacker as the article states his sakarybus based on which position he lines up at. I can't even remember Micah playing traditional linebacker role, always wondered how good he would be at that position. Fact is he played edged rusher and only looks for sacks.
Look around the league it is the same if not worse. Cowboys have been all and all a good drafting team, but they have had their misses. With seven picks in the first four rounds, the team had a chance to build a strong foundation, like the 1975 and 2005 drafts. Instead, only two remain. Too many busts.
1 Micah Parsons 12 LB 0 0 0 Penn St. 2 Kelvin Joseph 44 DB 0 0 0 Kentucky 3 Osa Odighizuwa 75 DL 0 0 0 UCLA 3 Chauncey Golston 84 DL 0 0 0 Iowa 3 Nahshon Wright 99 DB 0 0 0 Oregon St. 4 Jabril Cox 115 LB 0 0 0 LSU 4 Josh Ball 138 OL 0 0 0 Marshall 5 Simi Fehoko 179 WR 0 0 10 139 1 Stanford 6 Quinton Bohanna 192 DT 0 0 0 Kentucky 6 Israel Mukuamu 227 DB 0 0 0 South Carolina 7 Matt Farniok 238 G 0 0 0 Nebraska
I mean he plays DE the majority of the time so that's probably what he should be listed as. The NFL really needs to update this, and I doubt the NFLPA would argue to do so. It really should be LB (Off ball), Edge rushers (4-3DE & 3-4OLB), and DI (DTs/3-4DEs). Really no reason to not treat Parsons, Watt, and Garrett all the same. Even though they line up differently on occasion they all play the same role for their teams.
But when you have over the hill gang oline coaches who doesn't develop or put guys in position to succeed especially in run blocking then you have a weak running game. I hope the 2 guys he brought in helps in that regard and the running game will be ok this season. The running game is powered thru the oline and them dominating their guys or correctly accomplishing their assignments on a any given play. Only great backs like Henry could probably could eat up yards behind a bad line. We do not have any backs of that caliber on our roster as of yet. So if this line does it's job I feel good about our running game. If not and our backs are getting stopped as soon as they get the ball or behind the los that is a blocking issue not a back issue. They gotta have good blocking to get it going.Three straight drafts the Cowboys have fail to spend quality draft capital on a RB. And after each of those drafts the members in here have been shall we say, upset.
Also consider the play caller we have had. The Cowboys haven't had a serious dedication to establishing a running game like we saw back in the heyday in a long time. It's pass, pass pass all game long.
Well that's just dandy. Just something else to over marinate in until it's resolved.Per a source with knowledge of the situation, a grievance was filed earlier this year regarding Parsons’s fifth-year option salary. The Cowboys and the NFL have his salary at $21.324 million. Parsons believes his salary should be $24 million.
The issue arises from the position Parsons plays. The Cowboys have listed him as a defensive end; that leads to the $21.324 million salary. Parsons believes he is a linebacker, which points to the higher amount.
looooooooooooolThey did this with Zeke....not understanding (in his "prime" post 2016) that he'll get more yards in the 2nd half. Even Emmitt did that.
We had (have?) a stretch of maddening run calls. Like you said if we only got a couple yards, we'de throw 50 times a game. Or...three straight runs up the stuffed middle at the goal line and wonder what we had to FG it.
Maddening I tell ya!
Based on our current situation of suckage.Based on what exactly?
He doesn't make the picks so I'm really interested in your logic.
So you are in favor of the Cowboys not following their draft board?Should have never been drafted.
Not true, sugar biscuits, I want him to either win or get the hell out of Dallas. You just want him to say the team sucks so he’s as miserable as you are. Misery loves company.
You think him and his agent are wanting a LB salary or a DE salary for his next contract?Well that's just dandy. Just something else to over marinate in until it's resolved.
