HE IS NOT being traded, why is your obsession with this? We can't cut Mazi, but we can trade a GENERATIONAL talent who is just caught up in a silly game with Jerry Jones, come on Jazz
Wow
I have no thoughts on this. None that would make any sense to you.

When he first bought the team I admired Jerry's boldness and bravado. The team needed major changes and he did what it took to turn a declining team into a three time SB winner. His personality and approach to things didn't bother me like it did so many others. He did what had to be done. The state of the team now feels oddly similar to the one he bought. Can or will someone come in and do what Jerry did almost 40 years ago?

Unless it’s in your contract nothing is guaranteed in the NFL. One play can end it all and your big payday.

I never fault an NFL player for getting max money in a business that makes billions of dollars and has no problem cutting players if it saves them money and the team feels they aren’t worth it anymore.
He's guaranteed his 20+ mill this year. HE chose not to take the massive contract that was offered, and this is my point. He doesn't have the leverage in this negotiation, imo. The team has offered him record-setting money, and he was fine with it until his agent got involved.

It is also my point...the incentive to sign a deal like the one that was offered is that he can blow his Achilles walking down the stairs at his house. How DUMB would he feel if something like that happened and he turned down lottery-type money?

This is why I laugh every year when the draft rolls around and some of our fans act like we're going to hit on every player. It just doesn't happen. I'd prefer the draft be more like it was in the early 1990s or before, where you chose 12 to 15 players. Then, you might hit on four or five.

I mean, look at our 1992 draft. We took 15 players (had two first-round picks, two-second-round picks and two third-round picks) and we consider it a good draft because we got CB Kevin Smith, LB Robert Jones and S Darren Woodson (not to mention WR JImmy Smith who went on to great things elsewhere). Outside of those four, though, our picks were CB Clayton Holmes, OT James Brown, OG Tom Myslinski, DB Greg Briggs, G Rod Milstead, TE Fallon Wacasey, DB Nate Kirtman, DB Chris Hall, G John Terry, WR Tim Daniel and DB Don Harris. That's a whole bunch of nothing in 11 draft picks, although Holmes was a decent backup.
What about 1970 draft bet that sucks in relation to those still on team

Pretty much every one of your posts is insulting another member. Usually just for simply disagreeing with you. Pot. Kettle. Black
No, poor insight. I comment on standard being discussed. Huge difference and when shown an insult that is responded towards. This you do is not accepting accountability, You used not a single reference to football.

You have run the whole time insulting me supposedly that the Cowboys are not a millimeter towards real opportunity. Now you own up and discuss why! 30 year insult originating calendars are no longer discussion beyond personal frustration. You bragging about that?

You are just flat wrong. I qualify points of difference in view. You are fine to talk comdenation of Cowboys. I also have the right to discuss what is pertinent in the present. You were personal, first, and didn't touch football presented.

Now tell me something about OP topic, the secondary. You get clean. I presented a whole thread smack full of facts showing team direction and solidarity in their preparation for battle.

You don't just like me, THAT is your business. Talk football. Insult was your intent instead.

You are not a justified hall Monitor of mine.

Go Cowboys! That's what I'm about...again, carry on. Soldier. :starspin:

I haven't laugh so hard at this board when Deuce was compared to Barry Sanders...

Y'all think they're going to cut a DT or RB and admit their offseason acquisitions were subpar, nope, I have to see this to believe it. They do need to sign a CB and send Booth packing.
They like their running backs. They don't like Mazi.

It is funny that the fifth year LB pay is more than the 5th year DE. Even funnier he wants to call himself a LB but wants to be paid DE money which is much higher. Just sign your damned deal for 40+ million a year and quit worrying about silly crap.

I posted sources...yes, IF you follow, we BOTH could : first, enjoy the team...and second see how strong they do become.

For your benefit, this isn't a pick up football game at the park. You never clarified what you will see. :flagwave:
