I don't care who "wins" or what happens. I would just like to move past hearing about it.
This. Personally I don't have a side in the fight, but I do think Jerry is foolish for letting this play out as long as it has. Sign him to a record contract tomorrow? That's great and I would be perfectly happy for it to happen. Trade him for a draft haul? Perfectly fine with that as well, and can see optimism for the future with that move. What I dont understand is how anyone wins by letting Micah miss games and continue with the fake injury route. It makes the Cowboys look bad. It makes Micah Parsons look bad, it creates distractions, and odds are we are going to see losses because of it.

So, little Micah is innocent?
He's using the leverage he has to get a new deal that he deserves. NFL contract are one sided, where the team can cut bait whenever they want. Full guaranteed contracts are rare. I don't blame players for trying to get every penny they can.

Sacrificing $14 million to get $200 million might be worth it. Of course he'd have to drop the back injury and train while holding out.
They are fighting over the difference. Jerry made a good faith offer, Micah's agent wants more, hence the gap.

You think Jerry offered zero?

It ain't a fight. If you go out looking for a doctor to confirm your back pain is legitimate, you will absolutely find that doctor.

He ain't playing week 1, unless he's extended. Then we will all see the magic healing properties of money.
Used to work for Morgan & Morgan. There are ***** doctors out there that will absolutely say anything that they are paid to. No matter which side you are on.

What has he done to deserve being paid QB money?

What you are describing is the QB being part of the solution. What I responded to was the QB at that salary should be "the" solution (go back and look at the post).
Semantics. Saying he's the solution or part of the solution is very subjective, and can mean the same thing.

Jerry wins, because Micah losses.

So you're telling me his rookie contract didn't set him and family up financially already???? The next one will pave the way for his grand kids kids and beyond. His 1 game check could feed many of the unfortunates out there. I don't feel sorry for any entertainers that are paid well.

He should probably be looking at insurance policies as well since that is such a big concern for him and any player in this damn league.
The NFL is a billions and billions dollars business. Why do fans get so pissed off when players want to get as much as possible before it’s all over. Because eventually you’re not going to be able to play anymore at a pro level.

I don’t give a crap how much Micah gets paid or spends. Yeah I mean we’re all technically footing the bill that the owners dole out to the players but in return we get entertainment.

Billions in advertising profits, jerseys sales, concession sales, etc.

Not like this is bankrupting the Cowboys only how much money Parsons deal takes up I. The salary cap.

You wanting the money to go to the less fortunate…that’s a different matter.

Pretty sure this is exactly what Jalen Ramsey did at Jacksonville, right down to the same "back injury." He faked a back injury for several weeks until they finally traded him to LA... Where the back suddenly cured itself and he started playing.

And guess who his agent was for that entire show? Yep, David Mulugheta.

Awesome. Then the NFL and Players Union will agree on a 3rd neutral opinion.

Parsons would have more leverage if Dallas was a true contender- but Dallas isn't going anywhere. Losses don't harm Dallas's championship chances, they improve their draft position.

D. Law left because Jerry didn't offer to overpay him again.
Given that we never negotiated you could just say pay him again. No offer was made to say it was an overpayment or not. He signed with Seattle on the first day he could (and yes I believe they overpaid him). No reason to exaggerate something that never happened.
