Draft a quarterback

Everyone that watched yesterday’s game knows exactly why the Cowboys lost.

Enough time, money, and resources have been invested in Dak Prescott to get to a Championship. And it hasn’t happened.

And if you’re a rational organization, you admit that and realize it’s unlikely that it ever will.

Now because of poor management, you’re financially stuck with the player and two years of the contract. But that doesn’t mean you have to be stuck on the field.

Draft a quarterback.

Send a message to the incumbent and give yourself another valid option. And allow yourself an ‘out’ from the disappointing results and financial burden.

It’s time.
What round? How is the prospect pool?

I don’t think there are enough players to put around him that would have made up for his performance yesterday.
The stage was too big for him last night. I said before the game that Dak was under the most pressure of any of the playoff QBs. He just choked yesterday.

I said it in another post but a large number of his picks are passes defenders are jumping the route. That tells you 1) he’s staring down receivers; 2) they know his tendencies; and 3) the play-calling has gotten stale.

Some of the passes he throwing are total amateur hour in terms of the types a gaffes he’s making. These are rookie-level mistakes.
Every pic yesterday (including the dropped pic which would have been returned for a TD) was because he stared down his receivers. He felt pressure sometimes when the pocket was quite clean.

I actually disagree. There are teams who see him as a top 10 QB.
What do you want from Dak, flashy stats or a legitimate chance at championships? Dak does a decent job at one, and normally against terrible teams (look to last Monday night for your most recent example). Unfortunately, he can't be depended on to play good against better opposition, and that has been his M.O. since his rookie year.

You keep trying to convince yourself that Dak is this top 10 powerhouse QB. The results on the field tell a different story.

Look at what AJ brown did for Hurts...Jerry and his son love to throw a bunch of players in and see what happens. Hence why they drafted 11 players a few years ago instead of packaging picks and moving up for more quality. If they trade and or sign the RIGHT guys it could help. Either way though. They need to draft a QB. Problem is they are picking close to the end of the first.
Hopefully there’s still one there good enough.

It is certainly time. I am curious to see if the FO is smart enough to see it. And by FO, I mean Jerry Jones

I’d like to see us actually try go all in with Dak but I’m 100% good drafting a QB. Heck I’d even double down and take 1 in back to back years trying to hit.

Go get a couple mid round toolsy dudes and hope you hit.

Unless your a team that has a top 5 QB you should always be looking in the draft for a QB. 49ers had Jimmy G and then drafted Lance and Purdy. Look how that paid off. This dumb organization would have been happy with Jimmy G and certainly with Lance.

Only that Drunken egomaniac of a wanna-be football GM would give him this contract.
Does anybody see what the Ravens are doing and their QB actually has Tier 1 talents?
Never be held HOSTAGE by a player who cannot carry the team on his shoulders.......NEVER!!!!!

The reality is that out of the 8 teams that were left in the playoffs, Dak was consistently being ranked in the bottom 3 by almost every sports media show I've watched.

I've seen enough in 7 seasons. Draft his replacement now and let's make next season his last during the transitional stage.....he'll most likely get injured anyway if recent history means anything

If I couldn’t get another QB in the draft or on the cheap I would start Rush before Dak.

Yep, the real issue is that even if the Cowboys could find a willing trade partner, it would be a massive, even prohibitive, cap hit in dead money to trade him anytime this year or next.
Bingo!
