Awesome except they will probably beat the Cards, Skins, and maybe the Eagles and pick a little later
6 DALLAS COWBOYS: PATRICK PETERSON, CB / S, L.S.U.

Scouting Report
This would probably be the Cowboys dream scenario because the safety position has been a major problem area for many years now. L.S.U.’s Patrick Peterson actually plays cornerback in college but there are many scouts who feel his best fit at the next level will come inside at safety. Peterson is quite the physical specimen, checking in at 6-1 and 222 pounds with 4.4 speed and elite athleticism. Not only is Peterson an impact playmaker in coverage but he is also extremely physical in run support and a standout return man to boot. Regardless of whether Peterson lined up at corner or safety he would represent a major upgrade to the Cowboys leaky secondary. Dallas might also consider a defensive end such Marcell Dareus of Alabama, who plays in a similar scheme with the Crimson Tide, since Marcus Spears, Jason Hatcher and Stephen Bowen are all due to become free agents after this season. The Cowboys could use an infushion of youth along the offensive line too but there doesn’t appear to be a blocker worthy of being selected this early, at least not at this point
