I will puke if we go DE in the first
the rest are JACGS
we can find JAG in later rounds
its to deep of class to wasting a pick on a DE in first

At #9? No stinkin way.

What's funny is that you act like you know.
You might be right, but you might be wrong.
One thing that I do know is that playing football is way more than just about measurables like size and speed. There are plenty of guys who are the same size and strength as Reggie White, yet none of them dominated offenses like White did. There were plenty of DL with more size and speed than Randy White, yet he was more dominant by far than all those guys who played with and against him.
Fairley dominated at the highest possible level of college football, in the strongest conference, against the best offensive lines. Watt never dominated anywhere close to the way Fairley did.
So for you to say with 100% confidence that you know Watt is going to be the better NFL player is pretty damn funny to me.

TheFinisher;3883551 said:Last 2 seasons
Fairley:
TFL- 27.5
Sacks- 13
Tackles- 88
Watt:
TFL- 36.5
Sacks- 11.5
Tackles- 106
TheFinisher;3890237 said:Whoops, you must have overlooked this.
nyc;3890300 said:No, I didn't. What Fairley didn't against Auburn's schedule vs what Watt did against the Wisconsin's schedule. Fairley's numbers are much more impressive.
Fairley is a dominating by sheer talent. Watt is an effort guy. He is talented, but most of his pressure comes from effort. Fairley is just so freaking talented that he dominates. Sort of like Suh. Suh just has a natural ability to dominate players.
ABQCOWBOY;3890322 said:I hear what you are saying but I would not say he's like Suh NYC. In Suh, you have a combination of both these guys. You have freakish athletic ability combined with unreal strength and a none stop motor and a real mean streak.
nyc;3890331 said:My point was, he has a natural ability to dominate and that it isn't just physical with Fairley. Now, if you could combine Watt's motor into Fairley, you might get closed to the type of player Suh is.
ABQCOWBOY;3890336 said:Right, which is why I said, "I hear what your saying..."
However, regardless, I would not compare either of these two players with Suh. Fairley has freakish talent but it's not anywhere near the level of Suh IMHO. I just think you have Suh and then you have everybody else at DT.
I know you like Fairley. I like his potential also but I'm far from comfortable with him. I am in the crowed who views him as an all or nothing player.
nyc;3890340 said:No. You are wrong. I'm not a Fairley fan. I know the man is talented, I don't like his attitude. If there was someone in the NFL to compare him too. I would compare him to Fat Albert.
I want Tyron Smith at #9.
