CeeDee Lamb
Micah Parsons

Two years in a row we didn't use a first round draft pick for a need. And now these two players are arguably the best two young players on our team. That's how you are supposed to draft. Who gets the credit?

umm LB was a basic need LVE always hurt Lee is gone JS not player as well..dudes playmaker it was a need ..they may simply let LVE and JS go and cox, neal and Parsons are the young replacement's..that is technically need.

Ceedee we didnt need but wished they knew he would fall to us and not pay AC as FAS came first..ughh

now the issue is ceedee and gallup will be due big deals vetry soon.that why it can become an issue drafting a position you already have good players at.

Receiver was a need. Not a huge need but still a need.

LB was absolutely a need. They needed everything on defense.

However Lamb was the highest graded player at the time.

Parsons was the highest rated defensive player but Slater was the highest rated player when Dallas was on the clock. He went the next pick

That’s what happens when you don’t draft for need and go BPA.

it seems like we forced the pick with Joseph though. I’m curious to see how that one turns out. I’m hoping for the best. Our record with reaches is not very good.

I would agree with you but most thought CB was the biggest need. In hindsight, had Surtain fell and we took him instead, I would seriously be regretting passing up on Parsons. The last time the Cowboys had a true disrupter on defense, we won superbowls. DWare was a great pass rusher, but never took over games and put the fear in offenses like Haley did.

Judging the Cowboys drafts is easy.. All the bad players were picked by Jerry.. all the good ones were picked by someone else.. McClay, Stephen, McCarthy, Spalding, Micky Spagnola, .. anybody but Jerry.

..what about Cooper? Wasn't that Jerry's idea?

Nope .. are you not understanding how CZ math works? .. good player = "not Jerry".. LOL! Then again the Zone says he's not worth what he's being paid so maybe we give Jerry half credit for Cooper since his is allegedly a bad contract that Zone fans can't wait to move on from.

DT needs to be at top of 2022 draft.

Sane teams don't worry about any credit. It's only when you have an ego the size of Texas that credit becomes such an issue.
