Draft + Garrett

I don't know, but the offensive linemen will be biting off heads and peeing down nubs while Elliott smiles as he runs through the holes...

No clue. His offensive system is prehistoric which is why he is incapable of winning anything unless his stars stay injury free.

Unless he's got a steak on every plate, the meal this chef prepares tastes awful. If everything isn't perfect, everything collapses. Whenever he's needed to 'coach 'em up', he can't. After 6 years plus, you have to start asking yourself, other than football adages and quotes, and a few signs and t-shirts, what do you bring?

I don't know but what I do know is we have a very favorable schedule this year so expectations are such that we BETTER win more than 4 games. Regardless of injuries, this team is/was too talented last year to muster up only 4 wins. Be that as it may, those 4 wins generated a much lighter schedule this year so I am personally expecting at least 10 wins this year. IMO, that would not necessarily earn him Coach of the Year.

I'm past all the individual type of accolades right now only interested in seeing this team compete for championship. Does not matter to me how many guys go to the pro bowl, or some rookie of the year or coach of the year. That is the icing on the cake but more interested in the cake right now.

Improving the one unit that wasnt bad last year is the key to making him coach of the year.

Man, the guy has built the team to the top
What more do you want?
Garrett will be coach of the year, no question

To get Coach of the Year he's probably going to have to win the SB.
He was runner up coach of the year in 2014.

Id say just making the playoffs this year with Romo out might do it for him.

Garrett is regarded much higher around the league than some Cowboy fans.

Interesting. Does he keep his job if the clubs goes 4-12?? I am not a big Garrett fan.....but l respect continuity. His is growing. Is it enough?

lol

And he will be telling everybody...Jason was my boy and l taught him everything he knows...great post.
I suspect Garrett will recieve more credit than Jerry if they have success even though Jerry will be looking for more credit.

Not many expect Garrett or anyone to have much success with Jerry anymore.

I like Garrett because he holds this team together and provides some continuity and class thru all of the dysfunction and humility Jerry presents. Plus I like his persona on and off the field .

The fact he was an ex player in championship era with Jimmy and his fathers history under Landry figures into my attraction with him.

I'm not sure how you couldn't be rooting for him if your a diehard from our glorious history.

Agreed. But history and reality are two different things. Yes, Jason is a decent and respectable Cowboy frontman. To me, thats exactly what he really is. I certainly do not mean or imply any disrespect. Far from it. Jason is a good Cowboy. My complaint is much more basic. Is he a qualified NFL HC? Too me...the answer is NO. That is on Jones. Nothing more.
