I don't know about the rest of you forums members but I feel this draft just doesnt have the wow factor.I Usually slobber for a corner, wr, or somebody. I only have one player that I am wanting and it is wentz. He looks leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else. Goff looks ok but to say that I am excited to get him or lynch just isn't happening. I think wentz is going to be special.
-Myles jack is interesting but it is a lb, with the fourth, nah not feeling it.
-Jaylon Smith, this is a bad man but no way not knowing his medical issue.
-Treadwell is slow
- Jalen Ramsey is this guy a cb or safety. He was good as safety and switched, why?
Zeke- I think a rb can be had later. He is no AD caliber and I would take lamaar miller before over drafting a rb.
-Some good looking dt's but when do we value them, in the 7th round?
I have watched pretty much all the combine stuff all weekend. If healthy and wentz is gone then Jaylon Smith is the guy, I run to the podium. I do not like the idea of a lb with the 4th overall pick but he is a freak of nature. I personally think he is heads ahead of Jack.
QB is a problem. Jerry can put up a smoke screen or be truthfully honest saying he feels romo will be our guy for 4-5 years. That is a crock of ****. Simple. I really really really want wentz. Let him come in and sit for two years and this dude will be THE guy we need for a decade.
THE VERDICT IS..........

If my scouting dept tells me that wentz is a true franchise guy I am making phone calls to the titans. I am offering our 1st, next years 1st, and the following years 2nd. They will probably tell us to fly a kite and I would listen to what they want but would not sell the farm. However I would try to package something to make it work.
Without getting a qb to start in the future I don't feel this is a great draft. I have watched for years and years and this group I feel is the least talented across the whole draft. Feel free to give thoughts and opinions.

We should let it fall to us or trade down...

Of course the top prospects suck! We have the 4th overall pick! If we win again there will be like 4 Suh's coming out, and 2 Andrew Lucks! That's our luck!

Who are you trading down for?
Most everyone has different perspectives but I have always said quality over quantity. You can draft 15 guys, what's the point if half can't make the team.

Sounds like we should just skip the draft, like there is not a player that can help us at all. Except Wentz.

Guess I won't watch the rest of the combine, nor pay attention to the draft.

At #4 for me it is

1. Franchise WB
2. Trade down for Rankins in mid teens
3. No franchise QB and no good trade options ..... I'm not going there

I hope you're not serious about Jaylon Smith at 4.

The guy may never be able to play again.

Evidently you didn't read the entire post. I said this is a bad man but no way not knowing his condition. I went on to say I do not like taking a lb with the 4th pick but if wentz was gone and jaylon was healthy he would be the pick.

I hate that someone of jaylon Smith's talent and health concerns could ever stop him from playing ever again. If he is available in the 4th I take him without question.

I think people say things like this without really thinking about the situation. The Cowboys have their own doctors. I can't imagine ignoring their advice if they're telling you this injury with nerve damage will make him highly unlikely to play again at a level even close to where he was at.

I haven't seen where our doctors have publicly said, we have inspected Jaylons knee and he isn't ever going to play again, or if he does it will not be at the same level. Until then I stand pat. Maybe you have inside relations to someone relating info to you. I however am just a backwoods redneck who loves the cowboys and turn to this forum for great reading and info.

Agree with the OP, this really doesn't look like a draft that will have good value in the top 5, but will have very good value in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. That is tailor made for a trade down, assuming you find a partner. I'm hoping a team falls in love with one of the QBs and trades up. This forum would melt down, but it would be the right move IMO.

Well teams check out these prospects medically at the combine and the reports are he failed. I'm assuming the Cowboys were one of those teams.

That I agree with, I will be anxious to hear more about the situation. I doubt it will be anything positive but hoping so for his sake.
