Your property tax bill will be going up too. What sucks is that when/if the value ever goes back down, the taxes won't.....
you didn't have to bring that part in, now did you? :)

right now houses are selling like crazy. i get several letters a week of people wanting to pay cash for my house. tempted to do it and move further out somewhere but hell, that's a lot of work. :)

I work off of Legacy and Tollway. I might come by but I usually like doing the draft at home with my laptop.
Word.

Not that I live close enough to go but I do like all that info at my fingertips more than fighting crowds.

I'm sure I'd have fun if I went though.

Sorry, didn't mean to be so negative. Just going off personal experience. They get us coming and going.....

I'm working from 1800 to 0600. I'll be checking in by phone all night.....

Yeah, I am already home. I might consider it when the draft comes here in a few years, but not this year.

Negative ghost rider. You better be there and come drink a beer with me. Hell, I can get you free beer.

They generally won't automatically lower the appraised value. You have to go in person and file a protest to get lowered.

I own a lot of real estate in Dallas and protest annually, it just takes an hour or so in person and they're pretty friendly at DCAD. Now they're allowing you to protest via email, I fired off an email in 2 minutes last year and got one of my properties values cut in half.

You gotta fight it even when times are good, the taxes are not locked in forever as asserted
